Today I thought I'd get to take part in my new least favourite thing, waiting to see if the electrician turned up and if so, at what time. But, he came at 11 and was gone ten minutes later. So, hopefully, that's the end of that saga.

I got mail yesterday, a very lovely postcard and message from dine Thank you again.

Odeon is reopening on the 17th and I'm looking forward to going back so much. They haven't released what will be on yet and the only new film released around that date is Peter Rabbit two, but honestly, I'll go and see anything. Well, not an out and out slasher horror, but anything else.

It hailed again yesterday and rained a lot, and when I took out the recycling bin this morning I needed to break the ice in the birdbath. I want to get the windowsill cleaned off and get the tomato plants outside into the greenhouse, but sadly it looks like it'll be a while yet.

intoabar is running again and yet again I'm considering joining. I do so every year but haven't took the plunge yet.

Now though, I need to go vote so I'm going to make a quick walk to the polling station and will hopefully be home before the forecast rain this afternoon.

It's such an interesting challenge. I hadn't written for ages, but getting my h/c exchange done has given me a boost. So I am seriously thinking about it. Good luck if you go for it, too!

I was thrilled to get the email they're reopening. I suspect they'll be putting old stuff on again but I'm looking forward to Black Widow and things like the new Fast and Furious 9 and Top Gun Maverick. Blockbusters on the big screen have been a miss.

It's just been hailing here too so I'm glad I went to vote this morning. Sadly I didn't get to see baby geese and swans so your walk sounds better than mine.

It should be the end of the saga, everything is supposed to be connected and working anyway. Sadly, I won't really know unless the power bill drops.

Thank you! I'm hoping something decent will be on, though will have to wait until the weekend after they reopen as James is at work 8-6 during the week. I'm also hoping some of the staff I know to talk to are back and have done okay over the shutdown.

OMG yes! I hate no having electricity, the house is so quiet and of course, the internet is a must.

I've eyed intoabar for the last few years but have never made the jump to sign. I'm still pondering right now.

I couldn't believe it when the electrician was gone in ten minutes. The visit didn't start that well as he turned up, said his back was bad, could hardly get up the stairs then had to come right back down saying he'd forgotten his ladders to get into the loft. He got them, crashed and banged for a few minutes, and that was it. Just shouted, I'm done and left.

Yeah, it's been below zero at night for a while now. My poor seedlings won't know where they are as we had a mini heatwave and not it's like winter is back.

I figure if you don't vote you've no right to complain about how things are run. So, I always make sure to vote, even in the little local elections.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed this really WAS the last time and that you will be able to enjoy your solar-heated baths for many years to come!

It's been so cold here too but they say it's going to become much warmer on Monday. Hopefully your weather will turn warmer then too!

Well, no one has been back or phoned about any extra work that needs to be done. So, I think it could be it. At last.

I really hope the weather does turn for us both. I shouldn't have to be breaking ice the second week of May.
