Sep. 18th, 2021 03:46 pmIt was the usual Saturday morning today, with a visit to Re.F.Use for breakfast. Sadly they had no veggie sausages or bacon today so to bulk up my breakfast they gave me two fried eggs. Honestly, while I appreciate the gesture I'm not keen on one never mind two, so James got loaded up. But, I also got some nice stuff from the freebie fridge and a book from the book section that had filled since last week, so all was good.
We went to my SiLs after and she sent us home with two flasks of homemade soup, so no making tea for me today. My MiL didn't seem very happy though. She had someone out to buy the furniture in the house the other day and they refused any of it, so she's realised that nearly everything will have to be thrown away or sent to a charity shop.
James went back to work yesterday and Kayleigh went today. She says she's missing Bodhi but at least she's getting a break from nappies and baby sick. Though I'm sure she'd rather be home. Talking of Bodhi, she's four weeks now so have some photos
Kayleigh has three cats of her own and also took in mam's cat when she died. She also has a spare cat who is technically a stray but has two insulated shelters in Kayleigh's garden, a name, Sun, and is insured by her. The only thing he doesn't do is sleep inside apart from the dead of winter as he loves being outside.
Anyway, she's always careful none of the cats get in the nursery, but it seems they're creeping onto the rest of the baby stuff.

Strictly starts tonight and I'm so looking forward to it, especially as it seems Graziano is getting a partner this time. That plus Bake Off starting on Tuesday, hello autumn, it's nice to see your arrival officially stamped by the usual tv shows.

Date: 2021-09-18 03:45 pm (UTC)yo know, that cat looks larger than the baby - no wonder they find her interesting. comfy furnishings, and they can feel superior over the wee squishy person

Date: 2021-09-18 05:43 pm (UTC)It's funny because when Kayleigh posted that photo with Bodhi next to Aeriel someone said they hadn't realised Bodhi was so small. Because yeah, she does look so much smaller when next to a cat.
The cats love all the new furnishing, and of course, have to use everything they see. No doubt they'd be lording it up in the nursery if the door wasn't always firmly shut.

Date: 2021-09-18 05:38 pm (UTC)Bodhi is adorable but Kayleigh and Lucy were a little surprised when she started losing her hair at the front. They maintain she looks like a cute monk now *g*
The cats must think Christmas has come early with all the new cat beds. They certainly take advantage when they get the chance.

Date: 2021-09-21 10:59 am (UTC)I suspect the cats think all the baby equipment was bought for them.

Date: 2021-09-21 02:48 pm (UTC)Cats man, they'll use anything to get comfy.
I suspect I'll have a lazy week, which is good as it means I may finally get caught up online and with house stuff. It's James' day off tomorrow but it's another tip run day from my MiL's house and I always cry off for them. Because if I go I'll end up being the one throwing stuff into the skips, and nope.
Oh, but it's also the theatre and Rocky Horror on Friday, so not totally lazy.
