It's good that I talk often to Kayleigh because our vet keeps sending messages to the wrong person. It's because while Kayleigh took on the day to day care of mam's cat and has Megan at her house, I pay for vet stuff and insurance, so we're co-owners at the vets. Which should be simple enough, but somehow they keep mixing up our other cats. I have three, Kayleigh has four apart from Megan, and today Kayleigh got a message to say Milo's ear drops were ready to pick up.
It doesn't matter really as we just let each other know, but you'd think they'd have some system in place by now. I mean, apart from Megan we have different addresses and insurances for the cats. Thankfully they know the actual cats and are great with them, so we won't be changing vets, but you'd think they'd be able to tell the owners info apart by now.
I've had a lazy morning but really need to go get myself ready as we're taking Pauline out for lunch soon. She's having her skin cancer op a week on Monday so wants to give James his birthday card because she'll have to isolate from next week and then stay indoors to recover.
Then tomorrow it's my youngest nephew's birthday so we're off for a meal with my In-Laws then to his party on Sunday. A disco party with multiple 6-year-olds. Why we have to go I don't know but we're invited so I'm preparing for an afternoon of shrieking. Fannish niece is also coming for a visit tomorrow, a visit that's a surprise for my youngest niece and nephew. It's the first time she's been home since she just didn't come back months ago and James was volunteered to take her back to the train station after the meal. I suspect things may be a bit tense, and that's if she actually does turn up. I hope she does though.
James' back was acting up last night so he came downstairs leaving me in bed myself. We have a super kingsize bed so you'd think I'd have lots of room, well you'd think wrong. Murphy was plastered against my side, under the quilt, and Milo decided he'd sleep on my chest. I mean, it's nice they want to be so close but it's also nice to be able to move a little.

Date: 2021-11-12 08:02 pm (UTC)I love disco, but hate shrieking! The less chaos the better for me.
Oh my. I hope the dinner goes well.
We have two dogs and one cat on the bed with us at times. And yes, the cat sits on my chest. He's heavier than he looks, lol!

Date: 2021-11-18 01:55 pm (UTC)I think you're right. Thankfully they've finally started to let owners into the building again this week, so hopefully, I can get it sorted out.
There was so much shrieking on Sunday. So much! But, all the kids had fun, and it's over now *g*
Cats always seem to be heavier than they look. I'm glad it's not just me buried under pets at times.

Date: 2021-11-18 01:28 pm (UTC)Thankfully the meeting with my niece was drama-free, she turned up, she went, and hopefully will keep coming back on occasions.

Date: 2021-11-15 07:50 pm (UTC)I hope you'd a great lunch with Pauline and that her surgery today went well!
Hopefully you survived the disco with your eardrums intact and that the visit by fannish niece wasn't too awkward.
I'm so glad I only have Lancecat taking up room in my bed!

Date: 2021-11-16 09:11 am (UTC)The lunch with Pauline was great, but I got the date mixed up and it's next week Monday she's having the op. She must have been really eager for a meal out beforehand.
The disco was loud, very loud. But the kids enjoyed it and really, that's all that matters.
