We've been to see Ghostbusters: Afterlife today, and I enjoyed it. I knew no spoilers going in so
I was surprised when the original Ghostbusters team turned up, well, three of them at least, the other being a ghost.
I still love the theme tune and hearing the siren of the Ghostbusters car on top of that remains spine-tingling.
The Lumiere Light Festival is going on in Durham at the moment, but is ticketed so while we could see some of the light installations in the distance we had to leave the cinema and go straight to the car park, especially as it was shutting early. Which we didn't know before we arrived so it was good we didn't book a later film.
We've also been for our usual Saturday breakfast at Re.F.Use and bought a Waste Not box. It was a nice selection of stuff and James was thrilled it included a posh seafood mix complete with prawns etc. But it also has a pomelo which I had no idea how to eat. I'm still not sure tbh, looking it up I suspect it may be like an orange.
And, my knitted Sparkle Deer from
turlough arrived! Some of you won't know but Turlough has knitted me a Sparkle Deer for many years now, they're all different and I'd show some of the others but they're all packed away at the moment. I'm always in awe of her skill and the variety of deer I've received. So, thank you so much, Turlough!

Date: 2021-11-22 02:04 pm (UTC)The movie was great. Which I was glad about as there hasn't been anything else I've wanted to go see in the last two weeks. So was having cinema withdrawals *g*

Date: 2021-11-21 10:06 am (UTC)I've never had a pomelo either, but I've heard they can affect the working of certain types of medicines (like grapefruit can). So it may be worth approaching it cautiously!

Date: 2021-11-22 02:02 pm (UTC)Ah, you're right. I looked up pomelos after you said that about affecting medicines and it looks like James shouldn't eat it. I'm glad you mentioned that. Thank you.

Date: 2021-11-22 07:47 pm (UTC)I had to look up pomelo because I'd never heard of them before. They're apparently one of the ancestors of grapefruit but it sounds like they're really sweet and not bitter at all. Please tell us what you thought of it!
He's such a little cutie!

That does sound like them. I liked it, it did have a grapefruit feel but without the sourness. I'm not sure if I'd go out and buy one, as interesting as it was to taste I much prefer oranges if I want something citrus. But as a one-off, I'm glad I did try it.

You know I'm all about the sparkle deer!
