Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!

I woke up at 4am today and just couldn't get back to sleep, so just got up in the end. I can see it being a long day.

But, good things.

I had sibs dinner with Chris and Kayleigh last night, the first time we've all managed to meet up together for a while. Lucy and Bodhi were there too and it was lovely to catch up and hang out for a few hours in a very cosy pub with good food.

James got the grant for the deposit for our new car. He got it via his union at work and while they couldn't pay for the adaptions too, having to pay out £100 is a hell of a lot better than £900.

James also found out he's got a stall at the Re.F.Use Christmas fair next Saturday. He'll be selling his pyrography stock and offering to do on the spot personalised Christmas ornaments. I'll be there in my role of fetcher and carrier and I really hope everything goes well.

Corey phoned last night for a catch-up and is doing fine.

I've got the new Hawkeye eps downloaded and am eager to watch. I have things I need to do this morning but that's my plan for this afternoon. That is if I'm not asleep on the couch.

It's nice to see you too, if only for a brief moment - I've been struggling with finding the time & motivation to read dreamwidth, even though I miss you all! Not really sure how to fix that. Maybe this year, we'll see. But yes, things are going well! I'm just sort of keeping on keeping on with work and life and everything and it's keeping me well busy!

As you know the fair did go well, and yeah, pyrography is firey. It's basically heating up a metal pointer so you can burn designs into wood.

It was a ridiculously early wake up that morning. I hate when I wake up and can't get back to sleep.

It was a relief when the union said they'd pay the deposit.

Corey is doing fine. Sadly he may only be home for a couple of nights this Christmas, but better than nothing.

I did get rest later. I think I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow that night.

I've finally watched ep one of Hawkeye today and I'm enjoying it so far. Though, the mash up on film and comic verse plus details being changed for the second is a little head spinning.
