There was more cat drama today when I had to take Pansy to the vets. Thankfully they squeezed me in, probably as I was trying not to cry down the phone while I said I thought she was dying. Kayleigh drove me there and I had to sit and wait but that was fine, and a long wait and a big bill later, all of Pansy's bloods came back good, but she's got the start of cataracts and Sarah the vet thinks Pansy's got a neurological problem as her balance is off, which led to the issues this morning.

The next step is to get her transferred to the PDSA as she may need a CT scan, which will be mega money. But James will have to do that as he's the one to qualify for the scheme due to getting working tax credits.

I was going to finish putting up the Christmas decorations today, but I'm not in the mood now. Maybe in a few hours.

It was horrible. She's an ex feral and isn't even a lap cat so going to the vets and getting tests terrified her :(

But she's just been down and eaten half a tin of tuna so that's a relief. I swear these cats keep scaring years off my life.

It was terrifying, I really thought I'd be bringing home an empty carrier when I went to the vets.

And there she is today, like theres not a thing was wrong with her.

(I had to take Grant to the vet yesterday, too. He was acting very subdued, which is not like him at all. Turned out he had a fever and a blood test showed a tick-borne illness (I hate those frelling little creatures) (same one Beau had, where your blood won't clot). They gave him two shots (and some meds that I have to give him for two weeks) and within half an hour he had perked up! By the time we got home he was a different pup. It's such a relief seeing them acting more their normal selves, which I know you understand. *g*)

Pansy is acting like there's not a thing wrong with her today. I'm still glad I took her though as obviously something is wrong, even if it's not as drastic as it looked yesterday.

I was so frightened yesterday, simply because she did let me pick her up and hold her. She never does that.

Of course, she looks and is behaving just fine today.

Thankfully Pansy seems much better this morning.

Hopefully, it was a one-off or else she stays at the level of balance issues she has now.
