Dec. 10th, 2021 12:18 pmThank you
dine and
frausorge for the Christmas cards and the messages inside of them. You're both great ♥
I also unexpectedly got a book of Christmas stamps from my mail survey place. Unexpected as I'm still not back on the rota for my six months stint yet, not that I'm complaining.
Pansy is doing so much better. In fact, it doesn't look like there's a thing wrong with her now, which led to me second-guessing myself about taking her to the vets that day as she was so frightened. But, while she is fine now she wasn't that day and I honestly did think I was going to lose her. I suspect as she's doing fine now the PDSA will want to hold out on the scan, but I'll be keeping a close eye on her.
I think James jinxed himself when he found out he only needed two more weeks before he was completely out of his sick time warning as he was sent home on Wednesday when his knee went and he ended up falling again. I hope it's just his joints protesting the cold and not the start of an AMC flair as a lot of little things seem to be going wrong lately.
The tree is up and all of the decorations. The tree is as bauble heavy as always and I love it. Decorations Corey made, decorations sent by my friends, snails and sparkle deer and glass penguins, so many things sent by lovely people.
I did have to move the card string from the wall next to Murphy's cat tower. Apparently having a string so close to the doughnut where he sleeps was far too much of a temptation for him and after putting it back up three times a move was made.
Some of my new decorations this year. The Costa baubles and the black sparkle deer plus other deer

We're going to see Clifford the Big Red Dog at the cinema now. As of this moment we're the only people who are booked into that screen.

Date: 2021-12-10 04:14 pm (UTC)I hope James is okay from his fall.
Yay for having the tree up!
That's playing at our local cinema, too, and I'm wondering if it's worth breaking my fear of going there.

Date: 2021-12-10 05:48 pm (UTC)James is fine now, just gave himself a shock at the time.
Tree is done! Now I can just enjoy it knowing all the work is finished.
Clifford is a fun film. I enjoyed it but it's very much of the popcorn kind where it won't stick with me, but entertained me at the time. It helped we were the only people watching. It felt very weird to be the only people in the whole screen.

Date: 2021-12-11 07:14 am (UTC)Also glad to hear of Pansy's improvement. I hope she can keep on the upswing.
But that sounds very frustrating for James! I hope he didn't take any further injury from the fall.
Your tree looks fantastic, and the deer also - what a majestic herd!

Date: 2021-12-11 09:16 am (UTC)Yeah, Pansy is doing well. I'll keep a good eye on her but right now she's happy and looks fine.
James landed on his backside so it was more shock that got him sent home and not lasting injury.
I love my deer herd. I had to separate those ones in the photo from the main herd as it was getting a bit big *g*

Date: 2021-12-12 04:14 pm (UTC)Poor James! I'll keep my fingers crossed for him too! It would be so sad if he had another flare-up.
It made me giggle that you had to move the card string because Murphy got Tempted. Proves how young he still is at heart :-)
Your tree is as gloriously overloaded and tacky as usual, so awesome! The Costa decorations are hilarious and the black deer is very handsome.

Date: 2022-01-06 03:29 pm (UTC)Murphy goes between sleeping lots like an adult cat and being a crazy thing zooming around and causing chaos. He really is young at heart still.
And yeah, I keep thinking we need a new tree but it's pointless when it's so overloaded *g*
