Dec. 17th, 2021 02:53 pmThank you
ihearthings_ii ( I miss you on here) for the lovely card and
nopseud for the present which is now under my tree, too. ♥ to you both.
As I mentioned in my last post, my McDonald's tree ornament came yesterday, and isn't it a thing of beauty?!

I was amused that while taking the photo my phone tagged it as food. If you say so phone!
I've been incredibly lazy today. James is off with my SiL's partner delivering Christmas presents to the partner's home town, and won't be back until late afternoon. So I'm having a chilled day before tackling the bound to be manic shopping trips we've got planned for the weekend.
The only productive thing I've done is washed and dried the whites, hoovered and changed two lightbulbs in the kitchen. Other than that, just call me a sloth.
I should really go and deliver the cards to the estate because we've got loads from other people -- but, I've got a week still. Sloth mode still activated.
An update on yesterday, Pansy is fine again and thankfully loves tuna so has taken her meds in that. I just need to keep Murphy at bay as he's a food hoover while Pansy is a small cat and just likes to graze.
My MiL spent the night in hospital but should be home by this evening. So she says she's enjoying her bit of peace before coming home to my niece and nephew who are breaking up from school today and both fizzing with Christmas excitement.

Glad to hear Pansy is okay and is taking her pills.
I hope your MiL does come home and even manages some rest with the grandkids hanging about.

Date: 2021-12-17 03:32 pm (UTC)What gets me is they sent it out via a delivery service which must have cost a fortune. They say to tag your ornament of social media, and yeah, not going to do that *g*
I've very much enjoyed my lazy day. I still am in fact. I suspect the next two will be packed full so I'm embracing the peace.
I suspect Pansy may not be getting a full dose as she's such a slow eater, but we'll work on that and anything is better than nothing. I just hope they work because seeing her fitting is horrible.
My MiL said she'd leave herself if they didn't discharge her today. How she'd do that when she's so immobile I don't know, but it shows she's feeling better.

Date: 2021-12-19 09:01 am (UTC)The way my MiL was talking she was ready to drag herself out of the hospital if they hadn't let her go. Though personally, I think I'd have enjoyed the peace as long as possible.

Date: 2021-12-19 08:59 am (UTC)I very much enjoyed my lazy day. Sometimes it's great to do as little as possible.
Pansy seems quite happy right now. I hope the meds help though. She's 13 so not as elderly as Milo but I know she is getting on in terms of cat.

I was expecting a blown moulded decoration of a Big Mac, not that *g*

Date: 2021-12-18 05:51 am (UTC)Anyway, I'm glad you got to have some downtime (though accomplishing three different chores doesn't exactly sound like the peak of slothfulness to me!) And it's great to hear that Pansy is doing better, and that your MiL is on the road to recovery too. I hope things stay on the festive side more than the hectic!

Date: 2021-12-19 08:36 am (UTC)I'm hoping things do stay on the festive side. It helps that this year James' day off during the week is Tuesday so he's at work on Christmas Eve. Normally we'd be driving everywhere doing last minute things and dropping off presents then. This year I'll be alone and no doubt watching Christmas films.

Good luck surviving the manic shopping!
It's so good to hear Pansy is doing fine again and happily taking her meds.
That's good news about your MiL too.

Date: 2021-12-19 08:23 am (UTC)I enjoyed my day of sloth. I couldn't do it too often but a day of relaxing and letting jobs slide is great every now and then.
I survived the shopping. Well, the majority that we got done. I still need fresh stuff but I'll just walk down to Lidl during the week for that.
I just hope Pansy doesn't take against tuna. She can be fussy sometimes.
It was good news, she's home now and bracing herself for the kids being off on holiday.
