I had to have Pansy pts this afternoon.



I knew as soon as I saw her this morning, she could hardly walk and her fur was wet on one side where she'd peed herself.

When the vet saw her she said she was now blind in both eyes and most likely had an aggressive brain tumour and there was nothing to be done. Which I knew going in but still, hurt to hear.

The vet was lovely and let me hold Pansy while the deed was done and we had a cuddle to the very end with her wrapped in her fluffy blanket.



Goodbye Pansy Rocker. You were never a lap cat but I loved you deeply for 13 years. I'm going to miss you so much. Say hello to Tex, Tinker and Freesia for me.

I'm so sorry. I know just how it feels to go to the vet knowing what will have to happen. I hope it helps that you were able to cuddle her goodbye. And you know you did the right thing.

I am glad I could be with her. I like to think it helped her knowing I was there, especially as she couldn't see.

I'm so so sorry - it's good you were able to be holding her til the end, and that you have so many good memories. not the same as having her there, but hopefully some comfort

The vet went out of her way so I could be. Including rigging things up so she could administer meds standing away from us while I cuddled Pansy.

Oh, God, Terri, I'm so sorry. She was beautiful.

There's no hurt quite like this one, is there? But she was so loved, and you were able to give her such a warm, gentle send-off. It may not give you much comfort right now, the knowledge that you did right by her, but it's true nonetheless.

I'm so sorry. We had to make that call for our 20-year-old cat last month and the house still seems very quiet (he lost his volume control as his hearing went.) The vet was wonderful but it's never easy.

She was an excellent friend, different to the others because she was never a lap cat. She did her own thing in her own time, but I still loved her, so very much.
