Kayleigh started her share of maternity leave today. She split it with Lucy, Lucy obviously needing the first months and now Kayleigh has the rest. To celebrate I met up with her, Bodhi and Lucy at Costa and had myself a latte and some baby cuddles.

While there Kayleigh said my leg needed to hurry up and get better so I could go on walks with her on the days Lucy is at work. So I guess I'm getting some help toward yesterdays goals. Though I did stress I can't walk as far as she and Lucy do or go tramping through muddy fields and woods.

Other than that I've got rid of all the dust that was hiding under the Christmas decorations and done my first bit of Snowflake commenting/modding, which I enjoyed a lot.

I'm also half watching the Christmas 24 channel as it goes back to regular scheduling tomorrow. I really don't know what I'll do without my background Christmas film fix. They've been there for months now and going cold turkey from the constant feed of fake snow, candy canes, hot chocolate and cutsie romance will be a shock.

A new season of Queer Eye has dropped at Netflix and I need to watch that, and a thousand other things too.

I may be checking for Christmas stuff on Netflix if the cold turkey hits hard tomorrow. I know I can't watch the stuff all year -- well I could, but I do try to switch it up. But it's such lovely background watching.

Ah, thank you. I'm still trying to work out the balance of getting out and walking while not aggravating the stupid tendon or muscle or whatever it is that aches when I do too much. It's very annoying.

I do, and I never even mentioned the more walking thing. Kayleigh just announced we could go out for walks together.

I like that Kayleigh could get some maternity leave, though technically it's paternity leave. But whatever it's called she's looking forward to it.

I am over Christmas (i was never really under Christmas), but I do think January ends up a lot more drab than it has to be once all the bright Christmas things get taken away.

I do enjoy Christmas, but you're right, January is drab after all the lights. Also dusty I find. Decorations hide a lot.

I've really enjoyed this season of Queer Eye so far. That first episode is a doozy, and I teared up there at the end! Look forward to it!

I hope you'll have lots of enjoyable walks together! I wouldn't want to go tramping through woods and fields when they're muddy but otherwise they're perfectly fine. And I've heard that walking on uneven ground is good for you. It supposed to prevent osteoporosis.

I quite like walks in the woods when it's dry, but at the moment nope. But Kayleigh is off for a while so I'm sure we'll get some woods walks in when the weather turns.

The Christmas dust was ridiculous, tinsel hides a lot.

Well, I was amazed that the movies didn't actually go off yesterday, but sadly today they've gone. GONE! I'll have to try and hold on until they're back for Christmas in July *g*
