I think it was about this time last year ( or maybe even the year before ) [livejournal.com profile] castalie and I were talking about when she was franking for her dad and she knew what Daniel felt like when he gave Jack blow jobs. What with the bending and kneeling and all. ( I always remember that comment, because Danny, blowjobs, Mouse, how could I forget? ) Anyway, I remembered because just now I'm feeling that way too, with the aching knees and back. Unfortunately no blowjobs for me to make it fun. I don't know who decided you have to clean house at Christmas, because it's a tradition that sucks. I've cleaned floors, on my hands and knees mind you so I could get into the corners, hoovered, and cleaned the kitchen. I just need to dust and do the bathrooms and I'm done. But I'm taking a break for now and having a quick read of LJ.

I was up mam's earlier and honestly some things that she says leave me gobsmacked. Kayleigh got two cards and mam wanted to know who they were off, then said she bet one was from Kayleigh's lesbian friend as she'd put kisses on the envelope. Which was just a WTF moment. Apparently girls don't send kisses to other girls. I wasn't going to let that go and told her that I did and I tell my friends that I love them too. So you know it's a good job I have a kid and husband or I could be a lesbian...sheesh!

Before that we'd been talking about e-bay and Kayleigh told my mam and brother that James had bid on and bought a full set of nsync bobbleheads for me. Lets just say they stopped laughing about an hour later *g*

Hee, Shiny Teeth on TV! There's been a FOP marathon on NickToons today and this morning I managed to get the last Chip episode that I needed. I was sitting in my semi awake state like I do every morning when I saw it come on. I never knew I could jump so fast as I dove to the floor and shoved a tape in.

Man, I'm sad. No wonder my family laugh at me *g*

Man sis, you have one hell of a good memory, you remembered that one lol Yeap, working on your knees isn't easy or fun at all!

Yes, everyone knows that if a girl kisses another girl, it's because they're screwing each other on the side. I mean, why would they show their affection toward each other otherwise, right? [/sarcasm] Man, I don't understand people sometimes *shakes head*

Know what? One of these days, I'm going to try my first bidding at e-bay, everyone is having fun there but me, that's not fair! *nods*

lol, wait, I'm not having fun on e-bay yet, either...

..Although I may, very very soon...

*glances side-to-side, grins evilly*

I have a credit card now!!!

Wheeeee, plastic!

And Hurrah; I've actually managed to acquire a credit card before I'm 30. Now, if I can just add a decent man to that list of accomplishments... (anybody know anywhere I can charge one? lol)

Oh, and I gave up trying to understand narrow-minded people YEARS ago...

lol!

Wait, I'm laughing with glee at your entry, not at you!

I =LOVE= your Chip Skylark story; that's Fantastic! (focus being on "fan", I guess, lol)

Reminds me of the night I saw my favorite movie.

My roomies & I were sitting around watching Friday night TV. they're advertising their latest action movies. ...Then the preview started.

"The Heroic Trio", with Michelle Yeoh, Maggie Cheung, and Anita Mui, as spandex clad super-heroines fighting a demon! Invisibility! Batman rip-offs! Deflecting machinegun fire with a chain! I was SOOOOOO hooked... ..and then it says "NEXT!", followed by the sequel, followed by another Michelle Yeoh movie...

..I was bouncing off the walls, screaming for a tape, making a last minute deal with my roomie to record over one of his, and popped it in just as the credits were starting, lol.... ..Ah, good times!

It's not the first I hear someone from the US making a big deal of *finally* having their credit cards, and I'm curious- don't you ask for one as soon as your work? You know, like the first time you had a job, be it a student job?

When I was 18, I got my first real job, a student job, granted, but it was a still a job, and I acquired my credit card then... so how does it work in the US?

As for the man to add to your list of accomplishments- I'm afraid I can't help. I'm actually looking for my future wife myself, so... *g*

E-bay is evil, especially when you have PayPal and with the click of two buttons you can buy what you want.

But then again without E-bay I wouldn't have my Chris bear and MX posters and...

LOL, if I knew where to charge a man I'd be a rich woman!

LOL your story sounds familiar. There never seems to be a tape around when you need one.

But I've decided that as a fan you have to act like an idiot, so I'm covered ;)

I got my first credit card when I was 18 too. Then of course I maxed it up and spent the next few years paying it off :(

I'll have to look for a wife for you too Sis.

So that's a man for Josh and a wife for Mouse. I'll remember that list ;)

I always remember that comment. It was just such a funny thing that you said out of nowhere and it's stuck in my mind ever since *g*

I don't understand some people either. I try to rationalise it by saying it's a generations thing, but that doesn't fit either really :(

And e-bay is fun until some cow outbids you by 10p and wins the Chris doll you wanted so much! *sobs*

credit cards...

well... ..it's bizarre

Basically, everyone has a credit rating, which is determined by their debts, car loans, school bills, mortgage, other credit cards, whatever. When you apply for a credit card, the issuing company checks your credit rating and decides if they like it well enough to issue you a card. So, if you're a deadbeat with a couple cards that are all maxed out and behind on their payments, they probably won't approve you. On the other hand, if you scrupulously pay your entire bill every month so you never incur service fees or interest on a rolled-over balance, they may decide you won't make them enough money & STILL not give you one. Then there's the fact that if you don't have ANY credit cards, or car loans, etc etc, you have no revolving credit for them to base their decision on, so they probably refuse you. That's what happened to me for 10 years, until I recently got a mortgage. Capitalism is bixarre.

Bizarre, indeed- or, well, maybe not bizarre per se, but totally different from how it happens in France, for instance.
