turpsI've really been enjoying the responses about AUs from the latest Snowflake challenge, even the responses from people who don't like them and gave reasons. It's all been very interesting.
I did my first mail survey of the year yesterday, it was a nice walk to the post office, noted the posting on the app while there, and a walk home on a cold but sunny day. Today I got a message saying thank you for using the app and keep up the good work, and really, I preened. It doesn't take much to make me happy.
Today it's really cold and snowing heavily, so I'm glad I can stay in as while it looks pretty, I don't fancy being out in it.
Kayleigh messaged yesterday asking if my spare bedroom was accessible. At the moment it's full of Christmas stuff and boxes that came from my MiL's house, but it turns out she needs a space to work on her resin. She puts memorial ashes, breast milk, hair etc into jewellery and keepsakes and is really good at it, just she's ran out of room in her house to work.
So, she was asking if she could set up in my spare bedroom, which is fine. The resin work doesn't take that long and it means I'll get more Bodhi time. Though of course, it does mean I need to sort out the room.
I watched the first episode of the new This Is Us this morning. I can see I'll need my hankie a few times before this season is out.

Oh, I hope this means it will snow here tomorrow! *keeps fingers crossed*
More Bodhi time sounds awesome and will totally be worth a little sorting!

Date: 2022-01-07 08:26 am (UTC)The cold and sunny weather is so nice, and I actually didn't mind when it was snowing yesterday as it was the big fat fluffy snow. It's the grey days with slushy type snow I don't like.
The bedroom needed sorting anyway, so this will be the kick in the butt I need to start it.

Date: 2022-01-11 09:44 am (UTC)We've had another talk and are planning to take the old bed out of the spare room and make it into a study where James can do his pyrography and Kayleigh her resin if needed. We don't have overnight guests that often and when we do Corey's bedroom is available the vast majority of the year, so it makes sense.
Now, I just need to actually move things.
