Jan. 12th, 2022 03:00 pmI missed a parcel delivery on Monday so rescheduled for today. I was pretty sure it was a cube from my mail survey and yep, it was and the postman laughed as he handed it over.
Seriously, the people running the survey must think the postal staff are stupid because the cubes are ridiculous. Pre paid pretty expensive postage on something about 30cm square that's as light as air as all it contains is a square of polystyrene, a computer chip and a sheet of paper.
In a different delivery I also got three other mail letters to input, except in one of them the other person had sent the chip but no letter meaning I didn't have the data to input, and also my presentation pack of stamps that they'd forgotten to send when I restarted. This pack is Rugby Union and it'll go with all the other presentation packs I have no idea what to do with.
Pansy's ashes also come home earlier so I shed a few tears over that and the lovely box and message she came back in. She'll be going to stay on the shelf next to Moffet, Tex, Freesia and Tinker soon and I'm glad she's back.
I've been thinking about the last Snowflake challenge and think I'll do my usual drabble thing. First, though, it's actually sunny today so I'm going to go tidy the garden a little as it looks like a clip and I haven't touched it for weeks. I did notice there's a load of shoots coming up everywhere and wondered where they were coming from then remembered all the spring bulbs I'd planted in late autumn. So all that hard work is going to be worth it it seems.

Date: 2022-01-13 08:15 pm (UTC)I wouldn't know what to do with presentation packs of stamps either. Unless it's very, very pretty, then I could imagine mounting it and hanging it on the wall. Would it be terribly barbaric to just use the stamps and throw away the presentation stuff?
Good to hear you have Pansy's ashes home where they belong.
Ooh, spring bulbs! It's so exciting to wait for the flowers.

Date: 2022-01-14 07:50 am (UTC)Yep, and it makes no sense. The letters and parcels are supposed to be anonymous so that the postal service treats them the same as normal post. But it's so obvious what these cubes are because they all look exactly the same and are ridiculously light. I get that they need to send parcels but if I was in charge I'd use different sizes and add weights inside. But I'm not so I'll just mutter to myself on here and to myself about the flaws.
I suspect it's a case of either using the presentation stamps or seeing if anyone wants to buy them. I mean, I'm not interested in Rugby in the slightest so I know they'll just be put on a shelf and ignored like all the other ones.
It was good to have her home ♥
The bulbs were a mixture so I'm eager to see what flowers. It's so nice to see all the green shoots that hint that at some point, spring will arrive again.

Yeah, I think I'll just hang onto them now. It's not like I don't have other stamps to use and they don't take up much space at all.
