I had a nice freebie day today. Just as I was about to run out of washing pods I got sent a big bottle of laundry detergent to test, also got a packet of flaxseed which I'm assuming will be nice in my breakfast porridge and finally got the diary that's sent as part of the mail survey incentives.

Now, I don't actually use a physical diary because I've got one on my phone, but it is a nice gesture. Plus, this year it's got a red mailbox on the cover, so you can't forget who it's from.

I did manage to sort the spare room out yesterday. As of now, the bed is in Corey's room until bulk waste pickup day, and a load of stuff has been thrown away. In fact, we've got another tip slot booked for tomorrow, which will be three days in a row we'll have been there. It is nice to see results from decluttering, though.

The bedroom now has two desks lined up in it. James has claimed the bigger one near the window and now has most of his wood stuff up there, so the living room is looking less cluttered too.

It's been hard work, but at least now we're getting to the stage where I can see it'll be worth it.

It does mean I'm looking forward to my bath and then it's Masked Singer night. I still very much enjoy that ridiculous show.

Yay for fortuitous supplies! I've gotten really into a kind of instant oatmeal that includes flaxseed and it's pretty good.

And the cleared space sounds excellent. I hope James and Kayleigh both enjoy their new workspace!

Oh man, my physical diary is a lifesaver. I have to co-ordinate work for... four (?) different organisations whose IT I can't combine, pluse manage the dogs stuff, plus, you know, myself, and I think my brain would implode without it.

Sounds like you have been having ALL OF THE PRODUCTIVE. But it is nice to see the rewards when the hard work starts to pay off. I find it makes it more motivating to crack on with the rest :)

What EXCELLENT timing on the detergent! I like flaxseeds on my porridge - you do need to drink a good amount of water with them, and if they're whole then they'll either be roughage or bash them up a bit first.

It really is. A couple of days back I was at the 'worse before it gets better' stage and wished I hadn't started. Now it's pretty much done and the room is perfect for what's needed. James spent a few hours up there earlier and was quite happy, so hopefully, Kayleigh will be too.

It was brilliant timing about the detergent, I literally was down to two pods and now have a giant bottle to get through.

Thanks for the flaxseeds tips, I'll give them a bit of a bash I think.

Oh wow, I'm not surprised you need a physical diary!

And you're so right about the hard work paying off making it motivating to keep going. Now the room is mainly done and a load of clutter gone I want to get pictures hung and details done to make it look nice. It'll be even better when the bed is gone, but at least that's in another room out of the way.

I'm glad to hear the flaxseed will go nicely with porridge. I suspected it would but it's always nice to have confirmation.

I love a good freebie day. The detergent puzzled me as they sent it by courier and I got a text saying a parcel would be arriving in an hour time slot, and I had no idea what was on the way.

No lie, I'm pleased with the work we've done recently. Also pleased I don't have any to do today, too *g*

Ah, the set-up of the new space is the best bit. I love organising the house like that (covid very much got in the way of a lot of what we've wanted to do, because we're at the stage where we need workmen and... yeah).

Perfect timing for the arrival of that detergent! I use flaxseeds in my homemade granola. They don't taste much of anything but they're supposed to be good for your digestion. The new diary sounds cute. Pity you won't have any use for it. Maybe someone else you know will?

I should offer the diary up, you're right, someone will like it. And you're also right flaxseeds are tasteless, but I guess they add some roughage.
