Feb. 12th, 2022 05:00 pmIt was Corey's birthday yesterday, so happy birthday to the kidlet!
Along with my MiL we picked him up at 3 and had a late dinner/early tea. Nowhere exciting as my MiL's wheelchair was always a consideration, so we went somewhere we knew was on the flat and the food was okay, if not spectacular.
Along with money he got bubble bars from Lush and seemed quite happy with the selection. Though I was amused as he was going straight to work afterwards so would be carrying the highly scented bag around all evening.
I swear, I wish I had half his energy, we met Corey at 3, he started work at 6 to close which is around 5, was planning on walking home then getting a few hours sleep before going to celebrate with his friends today no doubt getting home at daybreak again. But he also some good news to share as he's been officially made a manager instead of doing managerial duties without the increase in pay.
It was a long day in all as James had an appointment at the limb centre at 10, which meant driving to Newcastle, then driving to go get my MiL and then back to Newcastle again. But one fun thing. I don't know if anyone has been watching Geordie Hospital that's been on tv lately. Well, the hospital where the limb centre is is the one with the fruit stall in front. We've never been able to find it but yesterday went for an explore, and it's been nearly in sight all the time, behind a giant sign that you can actually see from where we park. So next time James has a long appointment I'll go for a walk to get fruit instead of the park that's opposite.
Today was supposed to be doing stuff in the house, but after breakfast at Re.F.Use we decided to go visit Kayleigh and Bodhi and ended up spending hours up there.
After that home, cat litter change, a wash on, the downstairs hoovered and now I'm having some online time before the Masked Singer final tonight, something I'm looking forward to a lot. I also need some bath and book time as I didn't get in last night.
I've also just seen that the h/c exchange is open again and I need to decide if I'm joining, especially after the clusterfuck of last year. I've got time to think about it yet though.

Date: 2022-02-14 08:57 am (UTC)That's an excellent idea about buying fruit then going to the park. I like the idea of getting something tasty and then going for a wander.
I did have a nice evening :)
