Mar. 24th, 2022 08:09 amThings have been going nicely the last few days.
The weather has been lovely, up to 18 which is unseasonably warm, but I'll take it, especially as it's meant to get cold again next week. It's meant I've been spending time in the garden and had my first time sitting in the rocking chair and soaking up the sun yesterday.
I also cleaned the windows because man, the sun showed they were badly overdue for that.
Milo went to the vets and his pads are fine now, no infection or anything to see. They made me laugh as they only charged half price for this second nail clip, saying he only had three legs. But I suspect the actual reason was he was so sore the first time that they didn't get them as short as they wanted, so this was a very fast visit. Plus, I paid for his antibiotics and nail clip so yet again the vet bill is at zero. Hopefully, it will stay that way for a while this time.
As I expected James got a hospital appointment, right when he was starting to get back into the swing of work. It's a telephone one though, and his work tends to just let him sit in an empty room for an hour waiting for those so shouldn't cause issues.
We caught up on 9-1-1 last night so are up to date in terms of UK broadcast. Went to bed, I checked insta and saw post from Mikey. Mikey and Pete! My little SoL loving heart was singing. And beyond a fannish sense, I love that they're still friends and give us glimpses like this on occasions.

Date: 2022-03-24 11:34 am (UTC)18 does sound very warm! It’s been 8-ish here and even that feels like ridiculously warm for this time of year.

Date: 2022-03-24 02:50 pm (UTC)18 is very warm for this time of year, apparently, it was supposed to be the same today but I suspect it's a few degrees below that. I'd expect 8 ish too normally, this feels more like early summer temps.

Date: 2022-03-25 08:26 am (UTC)I'm glad to hear Milo's doing better, and that you were able to clear away this bill so you don't have it hanging over you. The discount reasoning made me snort - doesn't that mean you're getting one paw for free? But it's nice that they're being thoughtful about it.

Date: 2022-03-25 12:54 pm (UTC)I'll forever love emo Mikey and Pete and SoL, but seeing them now is great too. They do look happy and content with their lives, they've both came a long way.
Ahahaha, you're right, I am getting a free paw going by their reasoning. It's nice to get any kind of freebie from them.

Date: 2022-03-25 05:16 pm (UTC)We had some similarly warm days here, too (low to high 60s F), but we had clouds and rain, so it was like we couldn't even enjoy them! *sad face*

Date: 2022-03-25 08:54 pm (UTC)I've also started to clean my windows. Spring sunshine is so unforgiving!
So good to hear that Milo is doing fine! The vets reasoning about how much to charge for your three-legged cat made me smile. And go you for once again having no vet bill to pay off! I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will stay like that!
That's so typical! I hope the appointment goes well.
What a fun photo of them both!

Date: 2022-03-30 03:41 pm (UTC)It really is a terrible job. And it always seems that no matter how carefully I wash them, I stand back and there's a smear left behind. Stupid spring sunshine showing everything up.

Date: 2022-03-31 12:56 pm (UTC)Spring sunshine is unforgiving. I could see every smear when I was doing my windows.
Milo is doing great, but it's going to feel very weird not paying anything to the vet next month. We've been chipping at the bill for years.
James just had his appointment and needs to go for another test, under general this time. There's always something.
