May. 1st, 2022 12:49 pmI forgot to mention in my last post, Kayleigh tested positive for Covid at the beginning of last week, and now Bodhi has it. Thankfully, despite feeling grotty both seem to be coping for now, though poor Lucy is run ragged looking after them both.
James is doing another fair tomorrow so I've been helping him finish some more stock ready to sell. The living room is in chaos right now with stuff everywhere as he paints and burns and does the finishing touches. His new interest is bookends so there is a row of drying unicorn and rainbow bookends and a load of things that need packing up later. I've been helping prep and paint the wood the last few days and will be doing my usual box carrying tomorrow. I just hope the people actually turn up and buy. People keep saying he sells for too little money and while that may be true, we don't live in a well to do area, so people will only pay what they can afford.
For now, I'm having a coffee after our usual Sunday Tim Hortons breakfast and then grocery shopping and having half an hour before starting to put the house back to rights. But my minor moan of the day. Today I found out that if you buy breakfast at Tim's you can get any of their doughnuts for £1. Any of them, even the luxury ones. James has been getting one of those for all the time we've been going there but because the offer has to be done at the counter and not the touch screen we've been paying full price for the doughnut, which is much more than £1. All those wasted pounds. Gone. Gone!
Though I'm getting my songs mixed up there, noting the date, It's Gonna Be Me! If you know you know
To end on a light note, Kayleigh tagged me in the below earlier and it cracked me up and brought back some happy memories.

Mam used to make one of those for every special occasion, though our rabbit was made of jelly. But we did have the chopped up green jelly grass and because the rabbit was jelly too, and jelly out of a packet, it would never say solid and over the course of the day would slowly collapse until it was nothing but a flat puddle with no definition at all. But no occasion was complete without one, birthdays, boxing day buffet. We had to have that jelly rabbit :D
