I'm back for real now *g*
So I'll tell you all about my Christmas, but it's behind the cut for length.
We all went to mam's house on Christmas Eve. That was after visiting all the relatives and friends, but that was okay because our local radio station has this thing where Santa phones kids on Christmas afternoon, so we listened to that, and also all the beautiful lighted homes got us into the Christmas spirit.
Corey had a bath and while he was in there Santa dropped the Christmas pjs off, so he was running around in Spiderman pjs, so cute! Later, when he went to bed James and I took all his presents up which took us until about midnight. Then we stayed up until about 2 laughing at Kayleigh who'd been drinking and was rather merry ;)
Like I said in my post I slept terrible. The room we were in is used by Chris mostly, so it was lined with fishing rods and a huge ass picture of this horrible fish. Plus he had an uncovered bong in there which stunk. Also, my legs still hurt like crazy at the back and it was so hot that I woke at about 6 and went downstairs and watched TV until the rest got up at about 9.
Corey got a lot of presents, but really only played with his Playstation 2. I scored a lot of CDs ( Feeder, The Darkness, Blue, Black Eyed Peas, Good Charlotte ) DVDs ( Nsync, BSB, Linkin Park, PotC, X Men 2, season 1 of 6 Feet Under ) books, (a beautiful QAF US guide, Voyager guide, the latest HP and a gay novel ) and new pjs, earrings, teddy bear and things like that. I also got 6 toblerone bars. Everyone knows it's my favourite chocolate but I only get it at Christmas and birthdays, so I tend to get it off lots of people, therefore 6 big bars *g* I got 3 iffy gifts, 2 pairs of slippers even though I never wear anything on my feet in the house, and a cross stitch kit for this flowery table cloth off the MIL which made me think WTF. See I did do cross stitch but not for a long time, and I certainly don't use flowery tablecloths. But I was incredibly lucky and got beautiful presents. Oh, including stuff from
ninjetti75 and
babycakesin which were fantastic and I'll thank them for personally.
James and I made dinner then made tea later. In between I managed a quick log on because I was missing my computer badly, because I'm a sad sad woman *g*
I slept better last night and we've just lounged today, eating left overs and playing Playstation. Like I said we were supposed to stop again tonight but home was calling too much. So we've just hauled most of the stuff down. The house is a pig sty but I'm having a vodka and cranberry drink and catching up on LJ which is at skip 300.
And that's my Christmas. I enjoyed it a lot but am happy it's over with in one way *g*
I'm going to hit the sesas soon. I've waited long enough I think! That is after I feedback my writer in more detail. But before I do this I have to send some thank yous out. I know I can't reveal what I wrote yet but it feels wrong that there's a story out there and I haven't said thanks to the people that helped me with it. So thank you
jae_w who was my mentor. She was fantastic and gave some wonderful advice that improved the story a lot.
kifty who offered to beta and did a fantastic job catching all my weird British sayings,
ninjetti75 who did a great beta too and
castalie who as usual read my story even though she doesn't read popslash and calmed me down that it didn't suck and it was good enough. Thank you, all of you!
Now flist and mail!
But also the last chance to use my Santa icon. Bye bye bye Santa, we've had fun this year.

Date: 2003-12-28 02:14 pm (UTC)Guess it's kind of comforting to know the mail sucks everywhere instead of just the US....
