I was looking at my fitbit app yesterday and it said I'd gone to bed at 7:30, which I know I head to bed early but not that early. Then I realised the previous night I'd been reading a 9-1-1 story that grabbed me so completely I settled on the recliner reading on my iPad and apparently didn't move again for hours when the battery drained.

I was delighted to see the fic had a follow up so did exactly the same last night, and have the last part of the story to read tonight as again I drained the battery. It's a story where instead of everyone being saved in the tsunami Buck gets picked up by sex slave traffickers and yeah, I know, that sounds like it could be heading for badfic angst and woe, but it really isn't. In fact, while that's the cause of his trauma there are very few actual details and mostly it's a story about found family and people pulling together and healing and really, it's cat nip for me.

Talking of. Mog on the Tyne have two new cats which of course, meant we had to go see them. They're so beautiful and very friendly. In fact, when I went down to the toilets, Yokai, a very beautiful white kitty with two different coloured eyes decided to jump up onto my shoulder and I felt incredibly honoured.

I know some people can't see the photos I post on Insta, so have a selection here. Including the face of someone very happy to be honoured with a shoulder visit. Though yet again, I wish I could have been faster with the camera and not managed a shot just as she jumped.

Mog got a delivery while we were there. Of course the cats thought the box was the. Best. Thing. Ever!

I wish I'd got a good photo with my shoulder vistor because she really is gorgeous. But balancing a cat while trying to take a selfie wasn't the easiest *g*

The box situation cracked me up. At one point there were at least five cats in there.

Awww, KITTIES! I must admit when I visited the cat cafe when I had Layla, I felt guilty cheating on her. LOLOL.

I don't feel guilty about visiting in terms of my cats, but I do feel guilty if I visit the cat cafes other than Mog, especially if I post on Insta. I always feel like I'm cheating on them, then *g*

I had so many photos from yesterday, sometimes the visits are very low key and you don't get much interaction. But all the cats were on top form when we were there. Well, apart from Dexter who is older and apparently on the verge of being retired. You could tell he just wanted to chill.

I've watched 9-1-1 for years now but don't tend to look for fic often, but Buck/Eddie is practically yelling for it. Though the story I was reading was heading to that but never got close to the pairing, just an admission of attraction before things happened. Thankfully no magically healing cock happened, because if it had I would have backed out so fast I would have left flames.

But yeah, come read them, they're fun! Even if you don't like the hair *g*

Love the kitties! Chaser still climbs up on my shoulder (which was really cute when she was a 4-5 pound kitten, not so much as an 11-pound cat). If I pick her up, she wants to climb onto my shoulder.

I wish we had a kitty cafe around here. I was excited to learn the place where I adopt my kitties was working with a new kitty cafe (which opened last Dec or so), but unfortunately, it's about a 40-minute drive for me. *le sigh*

I'm glad you get to enjoy the kitties and appreciate you sharing the pics!

I love that Chaser is such a shoulder cat. It's adorable how they all have their own quirks and loves. I can just imagine her draped up there.

That's a shame the cat cafe is so far away. But this was such a good visit it was my pleasure to share the photos.

I was so confused when I was looking at my app, I mean, 7:30 was far too early for sleeping. But yeah, as I was so comfy apparently all I was moving was my hand to scroll to the next chapter so fitbit thought, sleep *g*

I remain thrilled at the shoulder visit. The bathroom is downstairs and I stood for ages wondering if I should attempt going back up with shoulder cat or just stay there and make people think I'd been locked in or something.

The photos from the Mog are all wonderful! So many pretty kitties! And so many pretty kitties enjoying boxes!!

It was a great fic, even more so as it's not often I find stuff that works for me in that fandom. Though what was sad was I checked out the author's other works after. Got excited when I saw some Musketeer stories, and found they were for pairings I'm not into.

The kitties were on top form at our visit. Sometimes they're sleepy and just want to curl up away from everyone, this time not so much.

Ah, I didn't realise it would cause issues for anyone checking that way. I'll try and remember to use the preview button, it's just habit now I post private first, no actual reason.
