I got two Christmas cards today. Thank you sperrywink and stellamira, they're still very appreciated despite the date.

Last night I was watching the new ep of Ambulance and was surprised when the very first section showed the paramedics attending a job in my town. Obviously with it being set in the NE this time I'd previously recognised some of the wider areas I'd visited in other eps but it was so weird to see streets I know so well, but also sad as it was such a tragic case.

I've just seen hurtcomfortex is gearing up again. Now to ponder joining again and willingly throw myself into tagset confusion.

Now, bath and read time now as the stairlift repairman has been. I've been waiting in for him all afternoon as the stairlift foot plate fell off earlier. The poor bloke must have travelled for ages for what was a less than five-minute fix. But, one we couldn't do ourselves so I'm glad he did arrive so fast.

Oh that was such a heartbreaking job, you could see how badly it affected them all, too. It must have been so weird for you to see all that in the context of a place you know.

It really was weird. And you're right, it was a heartbreaking job. Even just hearing the reactions was a lot.

I'm getting the feeling there must have been a huge pile of mail stockpiled somewhere and they're finally getting toward the bottom of it. I hope so anyway, Christmas cards in summer may be weird *g*
