Happy pancake day! Not that I've eaten any myself but I do have some ready-made ones in the kitchen if I fancy some later.

While I find Mikey ridiculously attractive, I do love how he speaks too and always enjoy his Instagram posts. this one about his wedding anniversary is adorable.

I've been tidying up today and that included a quick sort of the big hall cupboard, where I took a cat carrier to the head. It was my own fault and a pride before a fall situation because I'd wedged it on top of the tall shelving unit and James said it would fall, and I said it would be fine, and yeah, it fell, landing on my head. We both ended up laughing about it but still, ouch.

I've been tidying because tomorrow my MiL is coming to stay until Sunday. We're also having my niece and nephew for the day as my SiL is getting extensive work done in the house which will mean no power for most of the day. I suspect I'll be recovering with an epic bath and book session tomorrow night.

Yesterday we went for a meal out with Pauline and her daughter, then went back to her house where her granddaughter brought over her boys who are one and three. While the granddaughter isn't a relative of mine I've known her for a long time as she was born after dad and Pauline got together, so it was lovely to see the bairns again, especially as the one-year-old took a liking to me so I got lots of good cuddles.

I got another Too Good to Go magic bag from Morrisons a few days ago. This one had multiple bags at a different location so I thought I'd give it a go, and got a good bag. Mostly fruit and veg, but scones, a decent loaf and chocolate pancakes too. I had to laugh when I saw it also contained three turnips, but not the snowball type this time. At least I know how to mix up the cooking of them now.

I wonder if my MiL likes turnip...

I was lucky and no damage apart from a small bump was caused. It could have been much worse I know.

I suspected the new episode would hit your emotions. Talk about a rollercoaster of things happening! I haven't been on tumblr forever but should try and have a peek, share the anguish. Though, you know a show has an emotional impact when it beats SPN for such happenings!

I agree, Mikey and Kristin really do appear such a good match. It feels like the whole Sarah mess is forever ago now.

I am, right now she's four episodes into an all-day Murder She Wrote watching marathon so I've snuck off for some online time. We've had some lovely days out, but it was still a shock when I realised it was Monday night she's going home and not tomorrow.
