I've been for a walk at the coast this morning. It's still really cold and snowing on and off, but as it was also still very sunny, it was a nice, if bracing walk. I took some photos which I'll show behind the cut, including my other half who was strolling along in long shorts and a t-shirt while everyone around him was bundled up in big coats and hat.
I like seeing snow at the beach and the light was very pretty.

Just before we left I got to see a driver have a run-in with a traffic warden who was in the process of issuing a ticket. The man had been buying a sandwich and a drink from the cafe and had parked on the main road which had double yellow lines. He wasn't blocking traffic and it was quiet, but still, not something he was allowed to do, and stupid as he had to drive past the entrance to the carpark to actually park there. So for the sake of a very short distance less to walk, he'd ended with a parking fine, and wasn't happy about that at all, snatching the ticket from the traffic warden's hand then roaring away.
On the way home we called in to the PDSA to ask about the refill for Milo's painkillers, and they said the vet needs to see him in person this time, so he's got an appointment on Friday. Poor old guy, I'll have to make sure to put a warm blanket in his carrier and crank the heat up high in the car.

Date: 2023-03-09 11:19 am (UTC)I usually use a thin blanket for the cat carrier but think I'll get a thicker one for tomorrow. Milo seems fine but they understandably want to keep an eye on him before giving out more painkillers.

Date: 2023-03-09 11:17 am (UTC)It was lovely at the beach and it's amazing what a bit of sun can do. It was so bright yesterday but today it's grey and miserable so feels much colder, even though the actual temperatures haven't changed that much.

I hope Milo's appointment went well today.

Date: 2023-03-11 08:29 am (UTC)The man getting the ticket really was shortsighted, he didn't even have the excuse of the carpark being full. He would have saved literally seconds by parking on the road.
Milo's appointment did go well and they've put his meds on repeat now so he doesn't have to have a consult each time we request them.
