Milo went to the vet today and all is well. The vet was happy with him and has put his pain meds on a repeat prescription for a year as she said it was pointless dragging him out to be seen every few months when nothing had changed, though of course if things do change we have to get him an appointment. He did throw up on the way there and on the way back. Though I think that was a bit of travel sickness as timewise, he started retching around the same points in the journey there and back.

While waiting, we saw some lovely dogs, including a huge mastiff called Blue. He was an excellent if a very slobbery, boy.

After dropping Milo back home we went for a drive to the coast, where the snow was rapidly melting. But now all the brilliant sunshine is gone and it's snowing again so I suspect it's going to stick again.

I watched the last ep of Our Flag Means Death last night, and am sad that it's finished. It took me a couple of eps to get into it but once I did, I could easily understand why it took off in fandom.

I also watched the first two eps of SAS Who Dares Win USA celebrities and only knew two of the celebs in it. I still laugh at myself for liking that show because if anyone had told me previously that I would like it I wouldn't have believed them. But I really do like it and get drawn in each time. Though I'm sad Rudy cut off his hair and trimmed his beard, I liked the werewolf look.

I've never heard it actually talked about anywhere, but another show I've been ploughing through lately has been Reginald the Vampire, which started well but went a bit weird in the middle. I have one episode to go to finish the series so hopefully, it'll end strong.

And last night we also watched the first ep of season four of What We Do In the Shadows. I've missed them so much. BAT!

I'm glad the vet visit went well, aside from the car sickness.

Aw, Milo. Well, at least it wasn't too eventful. The best kinds of vet trips are the boring ones.

I only got into WWDITS a few months ago, but I'm making up for lost time. It's kind of a horribly perfect show, isn't it? BAT!

I'm glad to hear Milo's vet visit went well. Poor guy having car sickness though. My cat before Lennon and McCartney tended to throw up during a car ride. Usually shortly after we left or within five minutes of arriving somewhere. Oddly enough, I drove her to Colorado and back without incident. However, while she was alive, I did keep a handful of plastic Walmart bags and a roll of paper towels in the car. Still keep the bags in the car, but not so much the paper towels.

She did the hocking thing, then you could hear when she actually threw up, And yeah, if you're driving, there isn't time to get to a safe place to stop before that happens. Fortunately, she only ate dry food, so what she threw up was often pretty dry. I didn't think to put a towel in the carrier until after she was gone. Now, I always provide a towel in the carriers for the kitties, so they have something soft rather than hard plastic.

For the last couple of cars I've owned, the front doors have storage compartments in them, so I wad up a few plastic bags and keep them there. Really, it's not a bad idea to go back to keeping paper towels in the car. I do bring a roll anytime I'm traveling. I also found that when I go hiking, if the trails are muddy, it's really nice to have plastic bags in the car to store my muddy hiking boots while I drive home. I always bring an extra pair of clean shoes when I go hiking.

One nice thing about getting older, you learn from your past experiences. *G*

I'm so glad to hear Milo's vet visit went well and that you won't have to drag him there again next time is prescription runs out! Ans getting car sick must have been so miserable for him.
