Apr. 3rd, 2023 10:05 amBodhi is home from the hospital and doing great. You wouldn't think that a week ago she was so seriously ill and would be about to go through a serious operation and hospital stay.
She'll be going to get the gland under her tongue removed at the end of the month. That's where the cyst keeps refilling, so hopefully, once that is gone she'll have no more issues.
And James is up and about too, though still moving at half speed and aching. Excuse his expression, I caught him in the middle of making car noises as he pushed Bodhi.

It was a nice day yesterday, warm and sunny and we went to see Dungeons and Dragons at the cinema. We actually had tickets for Friday originally but part way there James was far too uncomfortable driving so we cancelled the tickets and came home. But yesterday he was feeling better and I'm glad as I really enjoyed the film, especially as it hit my found family love dead on.
When booking the tickets I saw they should have been £21 each due to going to the Luxe Imax screen. Never have I been so grateful for our combination Limitless and Carers card because no way could we go to the cinema as often as we do now without them.
New Taskmasker has started and the barge task made me laugh so much. It's one of the funniest I've seen for a while. I've also finally started to watch Batwoman. I've three seasons on my Sky Box and am about halfway through the first. So far it's entertaining enough.
It's going to be another sunny day so my plans today include catching up on here but also getting in the garden and tidying the greenhouse a bit. I still can't put seedlings out there at night, but soon!

Date: 2023-04-03 04:35 pm (UTC)It's great that James is feeling slightly better and that you were able to enjoy the movie! I thought the previews looked great. I wonder if it will come to our local theater?
I watched the first season of Batwoman, but didn't continue. I'd be interested to see what you think of s2.
It's sunny here and supposed to reach 60(F), but a tad breezy. Still, walks have been lovely.

Date: 2023-04-03 05:40 pm (UTC)I hope you do get to see the movie as it was a lot of fun. I also like how it was self-contained and easy to understand even though I had very little D&D knowledge.
I vaguely remember rumblings about Batwoman and the main actress changing after the first season so it'll be interesting to see how that is dealt with. Right now it's keeping my attention, but not so tightly I need to watch a new episode as soon as one finishes. But yeah, I'll say what I think when I reach S2.
Walks are always better in the good weather. I love the sweet spot when it's not too cold and not too hot, and not too wet or windy. Sadly, the perfect walking weather doesn't happen often. Even so, it's good to be out in the sunshine again.

Date: 2023-04-03 05:42 pm (UTC)It's really pretty, I love the retro styling.
I think we'll all be glad when Bodhi has her op and gets the gland/cyst sorted out permanently. Two scares with it when she's so young are already two too many.

Date: 2023-04-04 06:41 pm (UTC)I envy you your warm and sunny weather! It's still so cold here!
Yay for a fun film! (But twenty-one pound for a movie ticket?!!! That's robbery!!)
I hope you'd a fun day in the garden.

Date: 2023-04-04 07:22 pm (UTC)Why can't the perfect walking weather be all the time?!! Like, what if we just had a bubble around us that was perfect weather all the time, while it was rainy or snowy outside that bubble?!!

Date: 2023-04-12 11:32 am (UTC)Luckily it was late when we met up so Costa was empty where we were, because James and Bodhi really were having fun, and being a touch noisy.
It was so warm and sunny last week and now it's back to cold, windy and grey. My poor garden is a mess again, it needs to stop at spring weather and stop going backwards.
(But twenty-one pound for a movie ticket?!!! That's robbery!!)
It's a horrible price. You can go much cheaper if you go to very early showings but even then for the saver tickets you're looking at £10 each. So, if you're a family it's ridiculously expensive.
