You know what else Jan 1st brought? Me being untied from the BT ADSL contract! I realised that yesterday morning, phoned them up and then resigned. Now don't think I've gone insane as I've signed on a whole new contract/modem/connection thing for a month. The thing is BT is excellent for actual surfing, there's just something funky about my mail with them. So I'm willing to try this new deal ( and the financial incentive helped, because lets face it I'm cheap) So we'll see what this month brings. The only downside to that connection thing was I was internetless for a while yesterday. Which sucked a whole lot.

Yesterday we rejoined the land of the living and actually ventured outside, after 2 days of basically holing up and watching movies it was quite a shock to the system, damn it's cold out there! We went to pay bills and price a new TV but the size I want is out of our price range just now. Managed to get SIL's birthday present, so that was one good thing, but we'll just gloss over the way I knocked over a bucket of dried flowers *blush*

Came home and had a surreal moment when my sister gave me two gay porn mags. Where she got them from I don't know but she said she didn't like them but knew I would. So yes, I have gay porn to read and laugh about, because really most written gay porn is the funniest thing ever.

Today I've been messing at my website a bit because it sucks just now. I only did the rps bit as my codes were going crazy, but I managed to upload the sesa here. Then changed the index page a bit. It needs a lot more work but for now it'll do. Talking of the sesas I have to mention that the wonderful story that was written for me The Plan; or, How to Get a Mate in Three Days Or Less was written by dexwebster who did a fantastic job and wrote me a story that I love a whole lot. So if you're reading this. Thank you so much!

I've also been moping a bit as we were supposed to be at the Trek con in London now. We had gold tickets and everything but had to give them up because of James' job. Robbie McNeil is there right now and I'm here. Robert Beltram was going too and all the mad trekkers will be dancing and I'm here, in the cold, with no Trek stars to lust after. Also, Voyager is coming out on DVD soon, the box set is £90 for season 1 and I so want it. But I already have all the videos so it would be a total indulgence. But I want it! Voyager. Man, I adore that show, Tom and Chakotay. Captain Kate, Tuvok, Harry, it's just the best Trek ever. And yes, I'm aware that's a view most people will laugh at, but you know what? I don't care.

I may have to go sulk for a bit now. Or read some smut, one of the two.

Mmmmm. Tom/Chakotay.
I was always a bit of a Kate/Chakotay, B'Ellanna (sp? Wow it's been a while since I saw that written down loL)/Tom girl (one of the few shows I didn't slash to high heaven lol), but give me a good Tom/Chakotay and I'd be a melted puddle on the floor lol
So pretty.
And yeah, totally loved Voyager lol That Deep Space Nine were my faves.

I don't usually admit this, being the pure slasher that I am, but the first fandom that I was in was Voyager het. I was a P/T fan for a long time, read all the fic I could about them then saw a link for this strange thing called slash. Clicked it and sort of went WHOA"" I'm not the only pervert in the world *g*

After that P/T was thrown over for C/P and I never went back to het. Because yes, I understand the melted puddle comment in regards to Chakotay/Paris ;)

lol see, that was pretty much me, only with Buffy lol I was a rabid (but sane) Buffy/Angel 'shipper, and then one day I happened across an Angel/Xander and was all 'mmmmm, this is goooooood' lol and never really ever looked back lol It is lovely when you find out that it's not just you lol Gives a person a lovely warm glowy feeling hee I ended up having a Buffy OTP that was Xander/Oz though, I'm odd, yo lol

Man, knowing you actually *had* the tickets for the Con and you couldn't attend after all is awful! It's even worse than planning to go the other SG con in August in Paris, and find out that they *only* sell weekend or VIP passes, as in 155€ at least, and realize that there's no way *I* could buy that kind of pass *wails*

Anyway,

Hey, sis, already having the tapes is no excuse for not buying the DVDs. Indulgence is good, indulgence is our friend *nods* I had each and every single TP episode on tapes, well, it didn't stop me from getting S2 box set for Christmas *g* Of course, it's always a little difference for us non-English people, cos the DVDs give you the opportunity to see the show in its original version, which is always a great thing... but still.

I plan to get all my favorite shows on DVDs, no matter that I already have on tapes! *determined look*

So if TPTB could start being smart and fucking release TS on DVD, they would make me the happiest fangirl on Earth! *glare*

I did have the tickets, in fact James and I booked last year. We had front row middle seats with the gold package. But James just couldn't take the time off. Your con story is so sad too :(

I probably will get the DVDs. The problem is there's a few that I want at the same time. S3 of QAF US is out then and a few others. I will get them eventually though, Tom in DVD quality....droool.

Totally agree about TS too. I'd have those in a shot!
