It was the first Eurovision semi-final last night, and as always it was amazingly bonkers. Plus, there was the surreal element of Hannah Waddingham being a co-host after watching her so often in Ted Lasso lately. She did great and looked gorgeous, though.
I liked Switzerland, Israel, Moldova and a few more, but my favourite was Finland for the sheer wtf'ery and fun. I laughed so much watching it and it didn't help that James decided that the routine contained a dance move that suited his fixed arms perfectly and spent the rest of the show singing 'Cha Cha, Cha Cha Cha' and swinging his arm. It was frantic, weird, catchy, incomprehensible, and everything I want from Eurovision, really.
Now bring on the second semi tomorrow.
James' lathe got fixed the other day. Apparently, something had gone wrong with the on-off switch and the man who came swapped that out and all was fine. He didn't want paying either but did go with some antlers which seemed like a nice trade.
Bodhi has an appointment to see the surgeon tomorrow, while it's only supposed to be a consultation to see what needs doing Kayleigh suspects they'll keep her in as the cyst has filled loads again. She's hoping they just take it out instead of draining it again and I have to agree. It seems pointless to keep draining when they can do everything at once. At least now she's had scans etc done and they know what they're dealing with, so fingers crossed that everything will be sorted soon.
I'm actually meeting them for a coffee soon, I just need to get the washing on the line and then get going while it's still sunny.

Date: 2023-05-10 09:47 am (UTC)I've got my fingers and toes crossed that they just remove the darned cyst. It seems like it's causing a lot of problems and there isn't a good reason not to, at least that they've mentioned. Why make her keep going through this?
I hope you had a enjoyable meet up.

Exactly. She needs to be put under each time it's drained and it's refilling again within weeks. I understand why they didn't go straight to removing it the first time, but now she's had all the scans it seems silly not to get everything done at once.
I did have an enjoyable meet up. Though met the postman on the way out of the estate and he said he had a parcel for me, so I offered to walk back with him as the parcels need scanning on the premises to show proof of delivery. Man, postmen walk fast, I was going twice my usual pace and still arrived after him *g*

Date: 2023-05-10 12:37 pm (UTC)I laughed so much when Rylan was saying the dancers were wearing his spare teeth, they did have impressive gnashers, though!
I hope they can help her. She needs this sorting once and for all.

Date: 2023-05-10 06:18 pm (UTC)hope they will take action - it doesn't make sense for Bodhi to have to go through that over & over again

Date: 2023-05-11 02:03 pm (UTC)Me too. I get why they wouldn't take it out the first time but now they know what it is, and that it keeps filling up, you'd think they'd just take it out already.
