I got my

intoabar assignment yesterday and it's Roy Kent goes into a bar and meets... Eleanor Bishop (Hawkeye)!

The thought amuses me, though I will need to find out if my usual beta even watches Ted Lasso or Hawkeye and get pondering why they'd actually meet.

I'm pleased that I've the excuse to try writing Roy, and especially so as part of his backstory is he was scouted for Sunderland when he was nine and moved up there as part of the academy programme. And of course, as Sunderland is only a few miles up the road for me, it's a place I know very well, including the stadium, where the training grounds etc are. Not that that'll be much use in this situation but it's nice to have visual images to things he's said.

One thing with comics, you can make anything work really as they are bonkers.

At first I thought it was really boring!! (Bruce Wayne & Bill Lee from SG-1) but

clavally and K have conspired to make me reconsider :D now I have to rewatch the Bill eps (a hardship, I'm sure)

Wow! Some of these meets are things you think would never work, and then it's like, of course it makes perfect sense they'd meet, lol! I've felt that way about some of the match-ups I got, but it was fun to write them. I'm very curious how you're going to make this meet-up happen. *g*

I have a vague idea and I've just emailed my usual beta asking if she's actually seen the shows so I can talk that idea out and hopefully make it work. I'm still happy with the prompt though, which I think is a good sign.
