I washed my electric heated throw yesterday. It felt so weird to do so as I kept thinking, electricity and water doesn't mix! But I'd checked the care instructions, checked online and both said it was fine as long as the lead was taken off -- not that I would have been silly enough to throw that in the machine too.

And now, after nearly six months of use, it's looking good and actually non-grubby. Shame about the clicks in the material, but that's what happens when you share a heated throw with two cats.

I also put the canes into the tomato plants, which is always nice as it means they're growing well. Some already have flowers so I'll have to start feeding as well as watering soon. Oh, and the plants I thought could be a weed or lettuce? Well they're weeds *g*

I finished my Intoabar fic, sent it for beta and got an initial reaction that it doesn't suck so that was an excellent start to the day. It's short but is the first thing I've written for a challenge for a really long time so I'm feeling good about it. I also suspect more Ted Lasso fic will be in my future as I really enjoyed writing it. Though typical I fall into the fandom just before the show comes to an end.

I was assigned Roy Kent meeting Eleanor Bishop.

While the idea perplexed me for a bit, I had fun writing Roy.

At first read I wondered why tomato plants needed canes. Where are they planning to go?!! *g*

It really does. I'm glad I had the care instructions, but even with those, it felt wrong putting something electrical in the washing machine.

I'll keep my fingers crossed your tomatoes will do well! Better to discover now that it's weed than to have dug it up and only discovered later that it was lettuce!

I didn't think it would be possible either, which is why I did extra research before throwing it into the washer. But it really did come out perfect.

The weed/lettuce thing is still making me laugh. I still don't have any actual lettuce sprouts coming through and am starting to wonder if I had a dud packet because those are usually easy to grow. Thankfully, everything else is growing beautifully.
