I put a new fat block out for the birds yesterday. Ever since there has been a battle between the crows, the fat pigeons and the magpies in terms of who can come and eat it. So far the crows seem to be winning. There was also a lovely blue tit but that understandably avoided the fat block battles and came for the feeder that's suctioned to the outside of the window. At which point Murphy launched himself at the window, bounced off the glass and ended up tangled upside down in the blinds. Dainty he is not.
I got a pile of mail-testing items yesterday. Two test letters, one packet to send and four books. One by Ian Rankin. A Christmas-based chicklit, which has gone on tbr pile, another chicklit diary thing, and another that I've already read. So not a bad haul.
Someone has been steadily working their way through my bandom stories and commenting on them, which is incredibly flattering. It also reminds me of how prolific I was back then. I look back now and wonder where all the words came from.
Related to, I will be posting my intoabar story today.
And related to that, how good was the last Ted Lasso ep? Answer was, it was brilliant!
It was an episode full of good things and at times felt like fanfic on screen, but in a very good way. My initial reaction was focussed on Roy/Keeley/Jamie, because I love reading them anyway, so seeing them apparently head for the start of what could be a threesome relationship was delicious. Everything pointed to that happening and while I'm doubtful anything will actually be said onscreen, maybe some hints, I'd be so happy if they do go there.
And I need to know what Roy whispered to Jamie! It was obviously something significant.
I also ended up feeling sorry for Nate which was unexpected being as I've spent all of this season really disliking him. Stupid Ted and Beard, making me be a better person.
I can't believe that it's the last episode next week. And that I've only found friends posting about the show in the last few days. Which is totally my own fault as I stopped copy-pasting over at LJ, so a few seconds of laziness has cost me squee time.

Date: 2023-05-25 10:45 am (UTC)I barely write anymore. For that matter, I barely read as well. Often in the evening when I have some time to kill. I miss writing, but the muse has gone quiet.

I haven't watched it, but am aware of it thanks to Tumblr. It sounds like a great show and maybe I'll find it sometime to watch. :)

I love Ted Lasso a lot and only watched it this season so binge watched the first two. I'm going to miss it when it's finished.

Congratulations to your finished and posted story! I hope it will get lots of appreciation!

It is lovely. In fact, since this they sent a long detailed comment on Tints verse which was so lovely to read. Though reminded me of how long it was since I was posting those stories.
Well, the new story has been read, not extensively but I never expected it would with such a random set of characters. But I had a load of fun writing it so am still pleased.
