It's Lucy's birthday today so we've been up there with her card and a Costa voucher. She's off for a massage with Kayleigh this afternoon and part of her present was having a lie in as Bodhi stayed at her gran's last night. Which Kayleigh hated and said she felt sad all night without Bodhi. But they're picking her up early evening so no doubt they'll be back waking up at the crack of dawn tomorrow again.
Yesterday involved going to the hospital so James could get a cast made of his foot so he can have a new splint. While the appointment took a while it's actually one of the easiest to attend as the appliance room has dedicated parking spots for anyone with an appointment, so parking is never an issue.
After that Pauline had invited us for tea so we were there from about four to seven. She made a very delicious cheese, potato, carrot, onion and mushroom one tray bake, delicious but heavy. Then served fruit salad with cream, so by the time we got home I was good for nothing but some tv watching and then an early night.
Tomorrow we've got lunch time tickets to go see Barbie and I can't lie, I'm looking forward to it a lot.
I got an email the other day to say I actually was on my rest period from the Royal Mail survey, and today I got my end of stint presentation pack, which this time was Tutankhamun.
Looking at the site to link the stamps I was looking at other sets and would have love the X-Men pack. Looking at that brings back such fond memories of being obsessed with that cartoon.
After wondering if I should do it or not, I've just posted my signup to fandomgiftbasket Guess my new thing is signing up very last minute for things.

Date: 2023-07-21 12:03 pm (UTC)I'm glad the appointment went well and that you had a nice tea, even if it was hella filling. *g*
I hope you enjoy Barbie! The more I hear about it the more I'd like to go see it. I wonder if it's something we'd get locally?
(Not sure if you saw, but I posted my first ever Hudson & Rex fic, a crossover with the Chief Inspector Gamache books. Also, no pressure to read it. *g*)

I've just got home after watching Barbie and it was fantastic! It was funny, nostalgic, poked fun at itself often and I enjoyed it so much. Our showing was at midday and it was a big screen, with every seat full. So I suspect it's going to be a smash. I hope you do get to see it.
I haven't checked my flist for the last two days so hadn't seen, but you know I'm going to read!

Ooh, the Tutankhamun stamps are beautiful!
