Lush have released information about their advent calendars. One is £195 and the other, with only bath products is £125. Yeah, as fantastic as they look, I think I'll be sticking with my usual Yankee Candle advent calendar.

Also, I got an email from Lush that Snow Fairy is back. Plus, a notification from Greggs that pumpkin spice lattes are here and when at the beach yesterday they were putting up the Christmas lights along the seafront. And, I get it, time is moving fast!

Like I said above I've been to the beach for a short walk yesterday as James was feeling much better. While there we got coffees from a little independent coffee mobile thing that has set up on the clifftop and shared a cheese and apple chutney toastie which was delicious.

Today I need to work out how to actually post at fandomgiftbasket. One story is completely done and at beta, but I suspect I should post the version I have now to show the person has something and then replace with the beta read version. Just I have to be extra careful to actually post the thing completely as I completely messed up that step in the last h/c exchange I took part in so was officially a defaulter despite actually posting something.

I actually got around to buying the bulbs that fit my electric wax burner, and now my kitchen smells delicious. The snap bar I'm using is lime-scented and was such a good choice.

The grapevine in the garden has continued to grow like crazy and I really need to get out and do something with it. And talking about the garden, behold one of my cucumbers.

The other cucumber plants are thriving this one? Yeah.

As I recall, for gift basket you post it to the AO3 collection and post a link in the person's basket so it gets counted. Or just post the story directly to the basket. I don't have any idea if there is a Squidge collection, but I assume it would be the same deal. The important bit is posting something in the basket with the gift or a link to it so the mod can update the gift count on the spreadsheet.

As much as I love Christmas, I agree it's too early. The seafront lights I could sort of understand as in a month or so they have a couple of weeks of illuminations with a fair etc so it makes sense to put the festive ones up at the same time. But even so, it was jarring to see the snowflakes on a lovely hot sunny day.

Yeah, mutant is right. I don't know what the hell happened to that plant, but it has not produced a nice cucumber!

It was a nice walk, I enjoyed getting out and getting some fresh air.

That cucumber is just weird. I've never seen one with a shape like it.

I've never seen a cucumber shaped like that. I'm tempted to leave it and see if it grows more and achieves a full hourglass.

The walk was really nice, but yeah, time seems to be moving so fast right now. Too fast really because it should not be time for Christmas stuff yet. And I say that as someone who loves the season.

I couldn't bring myself to spend that much on an advent calendar. Maybe I'll stick it on my bucket list for when I'm rich *g*

I am getting more beach walks in, in fact, we were just there this morning. It was a beautiful morning so we splashed out on some dragon fruit and mango coolers from a little hipster coffee shop on the beach front. I watched them make them and they were only cordial and ice water. I'm still outraged now!
