I was Bodhi sitting on Monday, another 7am to late afternoon thing.
As always she was adorable, but is becoming quite the task master at times. The amount of times I was told to dance as we watched videos had to be in double figures. Turns out I'm quite adept at spinning, can make dino arms like a pro, but had to admit defeat when I was told to copy her, and she flung her leg up in the air backwards. My body just does not work like that now.
Sadly, it looked like her cyst may be coming back as under her chin is really red and sore. Kayleigh phoned the hospital on Monday and her specialist surgeon was off, but she was told to send in photos. So, she did, and he was back in touch yesterday saying to take Bodhi in to see him asap.
So, they went and
He confirmed the cyst is back and infected, but, thankfully, it's growing outwards and not up so not affecting her tongue. The surgeon was baffled, saying he was sure he'd got everything at the last op, including the cyst sack and really never expected he'd see Bodhi again.
They had two options, she could be admitted on IV antibiotics then have the cyst drained, but as she wouldn't be an emergency he couldn't say when that would happen. The second option, which he recommended, take her home on strong oral antibiotics and take her back to see him on Thursday. He said he thought it would have burst by itself by then, then he'd book her in for scans to see what is going on that it has come back. Sadly, scans she'd have to be knocked out for.
So, that's where they are now, waiting for the thing to burst and back tomorrow.
Poor little thing, we all really thought this whole thing was over, but it seems not.

dine? and I've been reading it for the last few days. It's a long one, over just over 107k split into three chapters, so I've read one chapter a night. I was sad to finish it last night, but the writer has lots of other stuff to check out. All My Shattered Oaths.
Nikita and Layton are dancing an Argentine Tango on Strictly on Saturday. I may not survive this.

Date: 2023-11-09 04:02 pm (UTC)Yeah, me too about the surgery. The cyst did burst yesterday, and Kayleigh sent me a disgusting photo to show that. They've been to the hospital today and she's on another five days of antibiotics and they'll discuss what happens next when the infection is all gone.
