I lurk on a gossip site for Strictly, and they've found A03 and are now sharing and talking about Strictly fic from there. Now I can never write my Vito/Nikita rooftop fic. Woe!

Seriously, if I wanted to I would still post, but I always find it jarring when I find fic being discussed in places I don't expect. One plus was they mentioned a Nikita/Vito fic that had been posted, and I zoomed off to find that, only to find they don't get the pairing system, and it's actually a Nikita and Vito and Nikita/his real life girlfriend. I mean, I'm still going to read but again, woe!

I've been cashing in my survey rewards so am waiting for two Amazon deliveries today, which are coming at different times, and also treated myself to a new dress which has brightly coloured purple bats on it, though that won't be coming until tomorrow.

I also need to cello wrap some chocolate orange dinos at some point as we've got a craft fair on Saturday. That's a 8:30 fair set up time, so will mean an early start. Hopefully, it'll mean some good pre-Christmas sales.

I was watching more Fantasy Island last night and the season ender had someone with a fantasy to live in a Hallmark Christmas movie for a while, and the whole show made me laugh as they kept bringing up points that had to be included, such as always hot hot chocolate, making cookies, the town coming together after a mini disaster, just a nod to the clichés but done in a fun way. And I was just sitting thinking, yes, this is why I love those ridiculous things too.

Then there was a fantasy of someone who wanted to know what their cat thought of them. Personally, I suspect it's better not to know.

I'd like to think my kitties think of me fondly... Primary Food giver, Lead Snuggler, Chief Dangler of the Divine Toy Wand, Supreme Box Placer, Head Toy Mouse/Ball Thrower, etc.

Of course, my dad always told me if I were the size of a cat and my cats were the size of people, they'd consider me dinner! LOL

Exactly. Even the ones who posted about formerly writing fanfic were dismissive of it, saying it was something they did when they were young teens, while others seemed to think fic was only ever about sex. It made for uncomfortable reading.

And thank you. It's the only one we're doing pre Christmas due to date clashes with other things, so fingers crossed, stock will be sold.

It really is. It doesn't help that they really don't seem to get what fic is about, just thinking it's purely sexual.

Yep, they obviously didn't get the concept of fanfic at all. There was quite a long discussion where on one side were the people who thought it was weird, and the other thinking it was only for sex and used it to help get off.

Such a surreal conversation to lurk on.
