Apr. 8th, 2024 12:05 pmI got mail this morning. Thank you for the postcard
frausorge ♥
I've been continuing my self-indulgent self reading streak by reading through The Embers verse. It's so long since I wrote and posted the stories, some parts had become faded in my head, so I enjoyed them all over again. I also wanted more, I miss the Killjoys.
On Wednesday, the old broken recliner is finally being picked up by the council bulk waste people. This year they've been doing free pickups which means it's a popular service, so we had to wait well over a month for a slot. So finally, in two days I'll be able to access the corner of the living room again. Of course, I still have to get the thing outside for Wednesday. I'm Bodhi sitting tomorrow, so I think I'll ask Kayleigh to come over early when she picks me up, as I suspect it's going to be a two-person job.
We're also getting rid of an old drawer unit that's been in the spare bedroom, or as James likes to call it, his studio. Getting rid of that meant we could put up the second shelving unit he got for Christmas, so that bulky box is now out of our bedroom. So, that unit needs to be brought downstairs tomorrow too. Though, I think I'll be able to manage that myself.
It feels nice to declutter a bit, because even though the things haven't gone yet, I know they will soon.
I actually got my compression wraps on Saturday, two pairs even. It's the first time since I've been going to the clinic I've been allowed two pairs at once, and I'm turning over the best way to wear them. Alternate day by day? Week by week? Change when I'm washing one pair? It's a novelty to even think about being able to wash one pair and wear the other, as normally I'd have to wash late afternoon and dry overnight.

Your wraps have finally arrived, hooray! Good luck figuring out a schedule that will work for you.

Thankfully, not that bad. The worst was the broken recliner but Chris was a big help with that.
Thank you!
