Jul. 10th, 2024 05:00 pmThe trailer for the final season of The Umbrella Academy was released, and I'm looking forward to watching so much. Bring on August 8th.
My MiL's birthday meal went well yesterday. We actually went to a new place, still a pub restaurant, but the food was good and they were very accommodating in terms of moving tables so my MiL could sit comfortably in her wheelchair. I have a tradition with my MiL that we always have a cocktail each on her birthday, so we both had one last night, and very nice it was, too.
James' chiropodist appointment was this afternoon, and he was in for all of five minutes, but this morning I managed to catch up online a little. Then I'll be watching the England match tonight. Well, half watch for me, James will be fully watching. I do wish I had £1 for every time I've heard 'it's coming home' lately, as I'd be a very rich woman. I suspect it won't actually be coming home, but as annoying as the phrase gets, it is nice to see the enthusiasm. Just, maybe in smaller doses.
Forgot to mention in my essay yesterday, we both managed to vote last week, and I was very happy with the result. It seems Larry was, too.

Date: 2024-07-19 04:43 pm (UTC)Me too. I have no illusions everything is going to get magically better, but at least the Tories are gone.
Larry did miss some important meals out *g*

That made me chuckle.
Congrats on the election results! I hope we follow your and France's examples.

Date: 2024-07-19 04:46 pm (UTC)So much tv to watch, so little time!
Saying that, I've watched a few reruns of season one Hudson and Rex lately. Rex pulling Jesse from the swimming pool still cracks me up, I mean, how did he get him over the side? It defies logic. And they all look so different, especially Charlie and Jesse.
Well, as expected, it didn't come home. But they got to the final so I had quite a bit more of 'it's coming home' to listen to after this post.

Date: 2024-07-11 08:18 pm (UTC)Larry the Cat has been the best thing about the election, tbh (getting rid of the bloody Tories is amazing, but I have otherwise complex feelings. Larry is uncompicately delightful)

Date: 2024-07-19 04:48 pm (UTC)Larry is fabulous. I went down quite the rabbit hole about political cats when I posted this and enjoyed doing so. But Larry will always be top feline.
