Feb. 17th, 2025 09:18 amThank you so much
jacieleigh for the beautiful kitty birthday card. Your timing was pretty perfect. You're the best ♥
I had such a good day yesterday.
I said that Pauline had invited me to lunch, just at hers, but it was nice to hang with her and her daughter for a couple of hours. Plus, I got to cut a cake and be sung to. Not a birthday cake especially, but still, the effort was there.
Went from there for a bit of a drive, and we called into the charity shop where I came out with two new dresses, one of which has leopards on. Quickly called in at my in laws and then went off for tea at an Italian restaurant. The food was delicious, and we had fun chatting to the party that was sat next to us.
Left there, and as there was still an hour before the show, we went to the pub next door to the theatre, had a diet coke each and people watched from a prime spot in the window.
Then it was show time, and oh man, it was fabulous! I was expecting good things and got them. The atmosphere was electric and just everything about the show was perfect for me. The songs, the setting, everyone on their feet toward the end and bouncing. At one point I looked around and James was having a moment with a guy in the row in front of us, both of them singing and rocking out together and it was joyful!
Highlight for me was The Black Parade, I do have a video clip of that, but really, no one needs to hear me wailing away, so if you want to see a version someone else videoed, you can do so here which also shows the set nicely, though we were in the stalls not the balcony, so had a closer view, and Zombie, so good! I've shared the official version from the Orchestra before, but no harm in sharing again.

The theatre looking dramatic on the way out. The pub on the right is where we were people watching, the door with 'bar' above it on the left is the restaurant we went to. So we didn't walk far, and yet, I greatly exceeded step count by bouncing during the show *g*
If you're on my Insta I posted more photos, including our stupid faces.

Now I'd better get ready as it's class day, then, I'm picking Bodhi up from nursery then watching her until 8. This no Bodhisitting in February is going well as you can see *g*

Bodhi is a cutie pie, and I do like spending time with her. I'm wondering how messy she'll be when I get her later *g*

Date: 2025-02-17 03:42 pm (UTC)If you don't mind, jacieleigh is better. I completely forgot I even started a 'Solariana' account at DW. It appears it was intended to be my writing journal, but I've since created JacieWrites, which is the one I use. So yeah, I think Solariana on DW is going to lead to a blank journal because all the entries are locked to me... and I haven't posted to it for over 3 years! LOL
Enjoy your time with Bodhi! We lived so far from my aunts and uncles that I never really knew them... or my cousins. I have cousins I saw as little kids under 10yo, then not again until they had teenage kids of their own! I've probably only seen my niece and nephew a couple dozen times in their lives, so I'm basically a stranger to them. I wish all families could live closer, and that the ones who do, make sure to be involved in each other's lives. I love seeing that!

Date: 2025-02-17 04:20 pm (UTC)I suspect it's unusual that me and my sibs all live in the same town we grew up in, so I do get to see my nieces and nephews a lot. Though admittedly, Bodhi much more than the others, who can all pretty much look after themselves now.
My own cousins, three live about an hours drive away and I see them a few times a year, the other three could walk past me and I wouldn't recognise them.

Date: 2025-02-18 04:28 pm (UTC)And now: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you're having a fabulous day and that your weather's been just as sunny and bright as ours been today. Though possibly a little warmer since I suspect you think +2C in the afternoon is far too cold ;-) I'm now holding my fingers crossed my gift won't take too long to reach you.

Date: 2025-02-18 04:59 pm (UTC)Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! Sadly, it's grey and cold here, though our temps did reach +3C, which I have to say is stupidly cold! They're forecast to jump to +13 in a couple of days which seems like summer thinking about it now *g*
The post has been pretty good lately, so hopefully won't be long <3
