James did another craft fair yesterday, and it was such a success, one of the best we've done. He sold a nice amount, and the location was lovely. It was inside a church attached to a community centre, so was full of people chatting for all the time we were there.

As stall holders we could have refillable coffees, and they gave us leftover Halloween cupcakes when the cafe closed, so in all, it was just a nice time.

Which was good as we were waiting for news about Murphy, which wasn't nice. He ended up at the vet hospital again on Thursday, and they quickly realised he had another blockage.

Murphy had his bladder washed out this time, and again, a catheter left in. They got lots more grit out and hopefully, along with the special food, which finally arrived the day he was readmitted, that's enough it won't happen again. He's on five different meds for now, two pain killers, an antibiotic as he has a UTI caused by the last catheter, an appetite stimulant and something to help him relax.

The vet today stressed diet is extra important now, so he's going to be on this special urinary food for life, both dry and wet.

When he was admitted on Thursday the vet on duty said he could maybe come home Saturday, and we spent nearly all day waiting to hear what was happening. I did phone at midday but was told due to sickness there was only one vet on duty in the whole hospital and she hadn't clinically accessed Murphy yet, so to phone back later.

I did, and that time got to talk to a vet nurse who said Murphy was fine in himself but still had the catheter in so knew he wouldn't be out that day, something the vet confirmed when she finally phoned around 8. But this morning I got a call to say he could be picked up at 1pm, which is exactly what we did.

Now he's got his special dry food, the special wet food is coming and he has a new water fountain which will hopefully encourage him to drink. So, fingers crossed he doesn't have to go in again, because I seem to have spent the last few weeks worrying about him.

Yay for craft fair, but poor Murphy. I'm glad he is home, and here's hoping the new food works well.

I'm glad the craft fair went so well! I wish I could do something crafty.

Oh, poor Murphy! I feel so sorry that he has to go through all that. Hopefully, it's the last time, and the food will do the trick. Does he seem to like the food? Macca would NEVER eat any of her prescription food. I should have donated it. I think it's 'too old' by now.

Congratulations to James on the great show! I'm glad it was held in a nice place, too.

Poor Murphy! I'm glad he's home now and I hope the wash and the special food do the trick.

I chuckled at Kevin liking the special food, too! I saw that coming. *g* (Even if he didn't like it, he'd probably want it because Murphy was eating it. Cats.)

That's wonderful to hear about the latest craft fair!

I feel so sorry for poor Murphy having to endure all the scary stuff AGAIN! Hopefully it will be the very last time and that he will soon be completely well again *keeps everything crossed*
