Want to know the next stage of the sorry saga of my health problems?

Last night my left leg swelled right up, hurt if touched, hot and it was the last straw you know? So I went to the doctors, which I usually resist doing because all the say is stuff about how much I weigh. It seems I have an infection and am now on mega doses of antibiotics, two types four times a day for ten days. Which is a bummer as it means no drinking for my birthday dinner. It's funny because in myself I feel much better, but at least I know what's wrong now.

Today is a good day, because I'm starting to rebuild a friendship that means so much to me. If you read this you know who you are. Because, god, I missed you so much at times it physically hurt. And seeing my other name in your mail made me cry and smile at the same time.

I'll be doing a mail session later as I've so many comments and mails to special friends cough/mouse/cough to do, now I can actually think straight.

I actually feel great today, must be the kick ass antibiotics kicking in.

I hope those antibiotics keep kicking the infection's arse. Feel better! And is it a staph infection? (not sure how to spell it). My sister's friend has had those before. Take care of yourself!

They are kicking the infection's arse. Because I feel normal now -- well as normal as I ever am *g*

She didn't say what kind of infection, just it needed sorting out and it was probably the cause of me being so sick since last week.

Doctors do suck which is why I put off going unless I really have to. I wouldn't care if they asked when it's relevant, but it's every visit.

Yikes - thank goodness for getting the diagnosis and antibiotics! [1] Hope you fight it off soon and heal well. And Grrr at doctors for making you feel like you can;t go to them about anything else.

[1] yes, I do have a housemate who refused to go to the drs untill his fever spiked at 103 and stayed there and he couldn;t move for the screaming agony. That's not the recomended process, btw.

I think I'll heal just fine, the amount of antibiotics I'm on I don't think there's a chance I won't heal *g*

I suppose it shows you have to see the doc sometimes, at least I didn't get as bad as your housemate.
