Had a wonderful and productive day yesterday. Corey is off school on holiday, but was at a party so I had the house to myself and shamelessly sat at the computer and got caught up with things that I'd let slide.
So now all my e-mails are up to date, I posted a MX story that's been sat on my hard drive for a long time. I started the second chapter of my Sentinel slash, so no more feeling guilty when I'm asked how far I've got. The MX archive is up to date except for two stories that I need to do later today. I commented on a few LJ's. Which for me is a big thing, I still feel nervous about posting in them, as if my opinion doesn't matter. I also read some new slash! Which doesn't sound like much but lately I haven't read any.
The only problem is what I read *g* For months I've resisted the lure of Smallville. Months I tell you! Friends sent me recs but I wasn't interested. It takes me all my time to keep up with two main fandoms. Then I made the mistake of reading
dolimir SV story on my friends list. And I was sucked in -- totally! The story was so good and I couldn't stop thinking about Lex and Clark. I know nothing about the show, I've seen one episode, but they wouldn't leave my head. Next thing I know, I'm at Lanning's page and reading 'The Identical Series'
I have no willpower!
The only thing that stopped me was the fact that my in-laws came on the spur of the moment. It was after 7, James had gone somewhere and I was getting ready for a long bath. Then James walks in saying 'Guess who I found?' you guessed it, all 5 of them. Do you know how shifty it looks when you frantically shut down pages on your computer when your family is watching? *g*
