Nov. 16th, 2005 12:41 pmFirst, Kim wrote Cramp! Go see and revel in the Cramp love! I have so much love for this fandom and their crackedoutness.
In rl news, we've qualified for the reduction in the council tax we applied for. They've backdated it too but we won't get the money in our hand, instead it's going toward paying the arrears we have, which is a good thing really. But yes, the monthly payments have dropped which is a very good thing.
Last night Tex escaped from our garden, and I'll tell you, looking for a black dog on an unlit field isn't fun at all. He came home on his own eventually, slinking in to his basket where he fell asleep in seconds. To make the night complete we thought we'd lost our turtle. A few weeks ago we bought a soft shell turtle, he's so cool, swimming happily in the fish tank and lying on top of the rock. Last night we realised he was missing, so the rocks were moved to see if he was inside but he was just gone. Remembering the fish man saying one of his turtles had escaped the tank and ran across the floor, we started to look around our tank, not holding out much hope for Rafael's life if he had escaped that way. I mean, the chance of him ending as cat prey was a very big one. We soon saw he had climbed out of the tank, but it seems turtles must have nine lives too, because instead of plummeting to the floor he landed in James' spare leg which we keep between the tank cabinet and the couch. So there was Rafael, scampering inside the leg, safe from cat claws and any other turtle hazards.
So yes, by the time he was sorted out and the damn Avon order done I was ready for bed, but not before I wrote a whole 37 words of my sesa story. Of course I then deleted them so they don't really count.
To end. What is the story behind your lj username? How did you choose it, what does it mean to you and was it the first thing you wanted?
I'm sure I've answered this before, but my brother calls me turps. In fact I'd be surprised if he even remembers what my real name is. His reasoning is this. Terri = ter = turps. What can I say? He's clearly insane. Anyway, when I needed a user name for yahoo groups I picked turps and it's stuck ever since. The 33 is totally random and I have no idea why I picked those numbers.
I think I'll try and beat those 37 words now. Or maybe I'll watch House which has just finished downloading. Decisions decisions. Which is to say, Dr Chase here I come!
