Feb. 18th, 2006 09:18 pmI want to thank everyone for their birthday wishes. It's made today a day of much happiness and I've smiled so much. Thank you for the banners, the Chris pictures, the balloons ( my user info page is so beautiful just now *beams* ) the paid time ( really, thank you! But did you realise it means I'll be sticking around longer? ) the e-cards, the e-mails, the real cards and packages. Pen, your card made me laugh so much this morning. Who would know there's so many lamp cards out there? *g* Mouse, just, thank you! Love you!
Also, stories written for me, and that always blows me away, because man, I love getting stories. First of all,
augustan wrote me TrickC, and lovely birthday trickc too. You should all go see and tell her how good it is. Then
stellamira wrote more Cramp! And just, dude! CRAMP! I'm gleeful I tell you! Lastly,
castalie wrote me Supernatural. Okay, technically it wasn't for me, but it's under my name and she said I could claim it so I did! See, I've known Mouse for a long time, like years long, and in that time I've watched her write for various fandoms getting better all the time, and now she writes Supernatural that's just gorgeous. If you like that special kind of brother love, check out her story here.
Really, thank you everyone. Fandom gets a negative light at times, but at the same time fandom has brought together a most wonderful group of people. People who are friends in the real sense of the word. You've all made today great :) *sends love to you all*
I got a lovely haul of books from the family. I put the word out that I wanted more books in the Anita Blake series, and through James making sure everyone got the right ones, I have the whole series. A nice stack of ten books to get stuck into when I want. It's a good thing I'm set on finishing the Chris posts or you'd not see me for weeks *g* I didn't get a cake though, which is of the bad. Though it's probably just as well, the candles would set fire to the ceiling ;)
The party last night went fine. James' workfriends were nice and I got cuddles and kisses from the birthday boy which is of the good. I did my usual be quiet and smile a lot routine, but no one seemed to mind. So yeah, I was worrying about nothing as usual.
ETA: Ahahahaha. Loca adds her own twist *g*
