May. 19th, 2006 12:57 pmI was at my nanna's earlier this week. She showed me a letter she'd had published in the local newspaper, in it she was talking about how people don't get out anymore, instead communicating through a little box in the corner. A cookie to anyone who knows who she means.
Anyway, yes hi. Haven't been around for a while, because James has been trying to kill me. Really, he has. Despite the fact it's my brother's baby that's a week overdue James is in fact nesting. In the last week he's been on a mad whirl of home decorating and gardening. Add in a few cinema visits and an Avon delivery and time flashed by. I've painted, even on one scary time standing on the toilet and painting the downstairs toilet walls because the ladder wouldn't fit. I've gardened, cut down the foot high grass with those huge ass scissors you can buy because our so called lawn is too small for a mower. Planted many containers, and even made a raised flower bed. Yes, made. Despite James or I having no carpentry skills at all he took us to buy wood and stakes, and I tried to hammer said stakes into the ground for almost an hour before giving up in defeat. The bed is up and looks good, but I must admit that it's propped up by a rock and a planter at one side.
Also, Big Brother started last night. I know it's sad but I really don't care, because it means three months of Dermot. I love BBLB so much, but man, could the people in that house be any weirder? There's some I want to strangle already. Also also, after BB last night was Reuniting the A Team, which we had to watch. I loved the A Team back in the day and still enjoy it now, in fact I was active in the fandom for a long time. I tell you, BA/Face bdsm including chains and the bonnet of a car is a wonderful thing to read indeed. But Murdock/Face remains my OTP. So. Much. Love. The show was so much fun to watch, especially hearing all the bad blood from back then.
So yes, busy days followed by long soaks in the bath and evenings with my boys. Which is exactly what I needed, even if James was trying to kill me. I'm actually supposed to be glossing the bathroom today but I'm on strike, giving myself time to catch up and peer at this story I've done. 13000 of trickyfish and where that's come from I have no idea.
Oh man. If Shazam or Shazoom or whatever he's called doesn't shut the fuck up I'm going to throw something at the tv. What an irritating, horrible, constantly talking man. Shut up! Now! Day two of BB and already I hate him, this can't be good.
