Jun. 13th, 2006 01:23 pmThe Dragon Challenge authors have been revealed. I didn't do that bad with my guesses, well, if you don't take into account I knew quite a few of the writers anyway. I wrote Spot. It isn't the story I was going to write, I had plans for something a little different but due to time that didn't happen. Instead I ended up with Lance and Spot. In the first version the pairing was open ended, but that didn't work, and somehow lambs did. Something that still boggles me.
Talking of lambs. I was up far too late reading all of
withdiamonds Lambs epic. I've been wanting time to sit and read, last night I got it, and so enjoyed every word. I'll be honest and say lambs isn't my pairing of choice, but Donna has me rooting for them, and I love the way she writes the past and the future, and also how all the guys are featured. They're all well rounded, and I love when that happens in a story. It makes reading more satisfying, like you're getting a full meal with delicious ingredients not just a tasty main course with scabby desert and starter to back it up. Man, I suspect that makes no sense to anyone but me. Just go read, either now or when it's done. Even if you don't usually like lambs give it a chance. It's worth it.
I didn't finish reading until late but really shouldn't have bothered going to bed. It was so hot it was impossible to sleep, especially as I can't sleep unless covered with a blanket. Sleeping uncovered is unthinkable. The same way I can't have my feet or arm hanging over the side. There's monsters under the bed don't you know?! So I ended up dozing most of the night, finally sleeping for real a few hours before it was time to get up.
And that's it for this lamby post. I hope you enjoy as it may never happen again ;)
