(no subject)

It was James' birthday yesterday. His rather optimistic plans were that we'd go shopping at Metrocentre with the the Kays, come home, put up the Christmas tree and then go out for dinner. What actually happened was, we did go shopping, after hours of too-hot, too-many people everywhere we got home early evening. Got the decorations out, put up one window worth of lights, and realised if we stated the tree we'd be up far too late considering he was at work first thing. So, the boxes were shoved to the side and we ordered in Chinese food, and no lie, it was delicious.

Right, the slow cooker is cooking away with stuff for tea, breakfast has been eaten and the cats fed, so I'm off to wrestle the Christmas tree.
