Aug. 9th, 2015 05:21 pmI was checking out something at A03 earlier and noticed that And the Painted Ponies now has 200 kudos. I know that's not many in comparison to the big fandoms, but it feels huge. It also has the most comments and hits by a long way. So way to go Robo Boy and the Frank who loves him.
I should do that A03 meme again at some point as it looks like a lot of stories have changed places. After many years When Day is Night Alone has been pushed back to 4th place and Blurring the Truth and the Lies has moved up to 3rd. Guess being on someone's guilty pleasure rec list has helped there. Though really, there's no guilty pleasure involved in enjoying a good h/c story.
Unexpectedly nanna came for a visit on Friday. It's been years since she's been to my house as she can't manage the ramps or steps up onto the estate. But apparently she'd gone to the local shops, had sat outside the post-office to have a rest and the bus that would let her up off further up the hill from our estate pulled up, so she got on it, knowing she could manage to get downhill. Though I do wish she'd use a mobile as it would have been a long walk for her down a bank and then through a field before she got to the houses.
The first I knew she was there was when there was a faint tap on the front door, and then when I didn't answer it within a second, an almighty bang as she used her walking stick to knock. But we enjoyed her visit -- Corey was home too -- though we had to shoo away the cats as she's frightened of them and stack up couch cushions as our couch was far too low for her to sit down easily.
Corey walked her down to the bus stop, and no lie, watching them walk away, Corey holding her hand, my heart about swelled out of my chest.
radioaches is hosting a love meme right here. If it's something you're into you should go put your name down and get some old school meme loving.
And with that, I'm off to make and eat tea.
