(no subject)

I had a nice birthday yesterday, lots of lovely messages from people and while we couldn't go to Mog on the Tyne we're going on Monday instead. I saw Corey, increased my Lush stash and discovered the wonder of salt and pepper chips from the Chinese takeaway.

The only thing was, I really missed dad yesterday. To a tears in the car extent when a song played the mentioned dads talking to their kids. All I can think was it's the first occasion that was solely focussed on me where he's been gone, plus I'd been talking to Pauline before she went to my cousin's wedding and she was saying how annoyed dad had been that my brother and I hadn't been invited, so much so dad wasn't going to go at first. So I just kept thinking how he quietly had our backs always.

So yeah, not the best birthday but okay. I'll take that. It didn't help that we went to the my Sil's new house, and due to her having no furniture there, had to stand for over two hours. By the time we left my knees were screaming at me, and have been aching ever since.

Which is why I'm off to have a nice soak in the bath. And yes, I would have been doing that anyway, but still...
