After ten years [personal profile] turlough has closed [community profile] mychemicalromance_daily today. I know how much work running a daily comm is, so if you follow the comm/have ever followed it, go tell Turlough how fantastic she is. Because she really is and has created something to be proud of and something that was a huge asset to our fandom.

When James finally goes back to work our cinema visits will tail off a little, but for now, when the weather is so bad, they tie in nicely to our daily walks.

Which is, we've been to see The Invisible Man yesterday, which was pretty great and very tense at times. And the day before, Emma, where James made the comment 'what's this about anyway?' and all I could think to say was, you know, the book? The pretty famous book by Jane Austen. But he had no idea what I was on about. I was looking at all the films we've seen this year and already our Unlimited ticket has paid for itself. That thing is seriously amazing and something I'd hate to give up if we had to cut back on spending.

I'm up to date with both Picard and Party of Five and am in the process of downloading the new Project Runway now, so that'll be watched soon. I'm still enjoying all of those shows, but on a very shallow level, Picard gets the scene of the week with a shirtless Santi again. I approve of this, very much so. I'm also enjoying the plot and twists, but you know, Santi...

Another storm has hit again this weekend, the third named storm in a month. The wind has just started to increase now meaning I could dry bedding earlier without worrying the quilt cover and sheet were going to get whipped from the line and get tangled in a tree. Though one corner of the quilt cover did end up in the birdbath, soaked up all the water and now has algae on it, so sigh, at that.

This last week Lucy has moved in with Kayleigh full time. It was a surprise as I'd been up a day or so earlier and she'd said she'd cleared out two drawers for Lucy, and then next thing I know she was moving in completely. But, they're very happy together so it can only be a good thing.

I was at Lush earlier spending half my birthday money -- I'm being a grown-up and keeping the other half for non-bubbly stuff, not that there's much but everything helps. I got three bubble bars and had a nice talk with the assistant who when I said I bought the bubble bars as they're more cost-effective than the bath bombs asked if I used a sieve for them, and no, no I do not. I've seen Lush insta fans use them but hadn't bought one myself. But, it makes sense as you put a bit of bubble bar in them, get as many bubbles as you need by putting the sieve under the tap, and then the remainder can dry for next time. I now have my own little sieve and will test it out very soon. Also, Karma bubble bars are coming back! Be still my heart *___*

On the way home, we were flagged down by a neighbour who said last night he'd called the police as about twenty teens were sitting around our car. For the last month or so kids/teens have been causing trouble in the town centre, which is about a minute walk from where we live, smashing bus windows and harassing people. It's not just locals but also others bussing in just to cause trouble, so much so that the police have brought in special measures that mean they can move on any groups without needing a reason. It seems some of the group decided to come onto the estate and sit next to our car. I assume to keep out of the wind as there was no damage, but even so, I'm glad the neighbours are vigilant as we can't see our car/garage as there's a row of houses between us and it.
