Jun. 27th, 2020 05:18 pmWhen James got to work yesterday they were doing the Covid antibody test on everyone. That one needs blood, and if you've been around a while you'll know that getting blood out of James is a very tricky thing. Needless to say, they failed, so part of his day off tomorrow will be spent going to get the test in a dedicated Covid place. As it's on the way to Newcastle I'll probably tag along and wait in the car, then we can go see Corey after.
Like many places, it's been horribly hot and humid this week, at one point it was close to 30 which was all kinds of wrong. They promised a storm today, and I've been keeping an eye on the BBC weather page for the area. At one point it said it was 100% chance of rain, but did we get any? No we did not!? It's cooler than the last few days, but some rain would really freshen things up. The weather page now said there was a 75% chance at 5pm, but I'm looking outside at the blue sky and blazing sun and I say yet again, lies!
The Witcher watching is going well and once I post this I intend to go off and watch the last two episodes. Though, I have to watch with my phone at hand for some swift Googling as often I'm left wondering what the hell is going on. I'm very glad
topaz119 told me about the timeline otherwise I would have been even more lost. Thankfully, Googling shows many other people in the same boat so it's not just me being dim. Though last night my search was who/what is Dandelion because I had no idea why it kept popping up in The Witcher search results. Not that I've read any fic yet but give it time.
It's the anniversary of mam's death today. I can hardly believe it's been two years already. I miss her still, so very much. They say time heals, and it does to an extent, but never fully. So much love goes out to the universe for my mam, a difficult woman but one I loved always.
