Oct. 25th, 2022 04:22 pmI've been to see Black Adam today and actually enjoyed it a lot. I know it's got a bit of a mauling critic review wise but I really liked the effects and it kept my attention throughout. Aldis Hodge as a main cast member was great and I do like a bit of The Rock, even if he's always better with more wisecracks.
On the way to Durham, we picked up an Olio order. The food waste hero has such a good system in place, she lists the food, you request it and give a time you can pick up and then wait for a message to say if that's okay -- because sometimes other people request before you do. Then when you get to the hero's house she leaves all the orders in her porch, ready packed up, and all you do is leave an empty carrier bag and take your labelled bag, so no actual contact between people.
Recently Iceland has joined Olio, and as there are a lot of Icelands around my area, it means there's a lot more food offered, though sadly, those pickups are on the evening and because the food is fresh has to go that night, so no picking up the next day. One FWH was saying how frustrating it is because so much has to be thrown away if it hasn't been requested and picked up by midnight, but obviously, they have to stick to the eat-before-date rule.
But yeah, we're big fans of Olio here and the combo of saving money and stopping perfectly good food from going to waste is great.
My brother is supposed to be coming tomorrow to fit the back bits of the countertops so they'll be fully sealed at last. I've no idea when he's coming, but if it's afternoon James will have to go hospital visiting alone. Fingers crossed my bro will also have the freezer-cupboard door as it'll be nice to be able to get into it without having to lift the old door out of the way.
And ha, Kayleigh just messaged asking if I want to meet for a Costa tomorrow. I feel like popular sib today *g*
