turps: (cats and coffee)
It's the scavenger hunt in Snowflake today, which is one of my favourite challenges. But, responses will happen tomorrow I suspect as today seems to have got away from me.

I met Kayleigh and Bodhi first thing and made a rookie mistake by not wearing my big coat to go out. When I left the house it was cold but sunny and dry. By the time we were getting ready to leave Costa, there was driving sleety rain. Kayleigh did offer to give me a lift home as she'd come in the car, but by the time we'd walked to the car and got Bodhi settled I would have been home. You can literally see Costa from my back garden, it's just to get there you have to walk to the bridge to get off the estate and over the duel carriageway, down the ramps on the other side and then go through Lidl's carpark. So I was just a touch wet and cold when I got home.

At which point I put on my Oodie and settled on the couch under my electric throw to warm through, and drifted off, waking up an hour later with Murphy flaked out on my lap. I hardly ever nap but I guess it was needed, and I woke up very warm and comfy.

Then my MiL phoned for a chat and suddenly it's getting dark and nearly time to think about making tea. Which reminds me, Pauline's daughter phoned James after 9pm last night. We were already in bed and I don't know about other people but when we get calls at that time we always fear the worst. He phoned her back and I was getting ready to hear Pauline was ill or something, but it turns out she wanted to ask James a question and I guess just didn't realise the time. Still, I could have done without the doomed-filled seconds.
